Looked and looked locally and can never find this set. Luckily I was able to grab it on amazon and my kids LOVE it. The animals are fun and the Zoo overall provides hours and hours of entertainment. Definitely one of my kids favorite lego sets.

I bought one of "my first duplo set" long time ago, and my baby had little interest, so I thought she didn't like any construction games. However, when she saw this set, she could not put her hands off, and played all day, all week, all the time. Unlike other build-it-yourself duplo, it had ready-to-put building part, such as castle, so that my baby could imagine what to do with it. Also, animals were her best friends now. I thought to buy bunch of animal dolls for her, however, she liked animals in lego b/c they were just right size for her tiny hands.
It is $89.99 in Toysrus as regular price, so amazon is way to expensive. I also used buy 1 get 1 50% deal in toyrus, and bought new farm set($59.99) with half price. Lego is super durable, great color and quality, but too expensive. As a mom, it's better to have quality than cheap prices, so you'd better find sale/coupons if you want to buy lego. But as I said, Lego's quality will never disappoint you.

Our grandkids, ages 2 1/2 and 4, play with this set for an hour or two every day. First they built what they saw on the package; now now they create their own scenarios, bringing in vehicles and people from other Duplo sets. We often have an animal hospital, a bus bringing zoo visitors, animal escapes and rescues, very tall towers for animals or humans or both, and other scenarios. Eventually we will add the polar bear set, since they love the polar bears at our local zoo. This set works at every level. It invites them to build structures, encourages imaginative play, and provides opportunities to talk about animals and their habitats.

I got this for my kids last year and we have played with it quite a bit. Initially, my daughter was constantly building a zoo - homes for each of the animals. She liked to look at the pictures and build what they had on the box. It was fun seeing her figure it out (she was 3 and my son 1 and a half). They are now 4 and 3 and still play with it. I am a big fan of Lego bricks to build castles, etc. and this product allows us to incorporate more fantasies...

Just bought this today at Toys R Us for $89.99. It wasn't on sale or anything, just the regular price there.
