Bob's hitting the road with all of the comforts of home in tow. With Travis the Tractor leading the way, Bob is ready to get the job done. Made with 24 colorful pieces, this set features a cheerful mobile caravan that serves as Bob's home away from home. Its three yellow walls are capped with a bright red roof, while the back remains open for easy play access. Pilchard the cat has come along, too, and can watch Bob from one of two sunny windows that open wide. A table and two chairs fit neatly inside the home, or if the weather's nice, Bob can bring them outdoors for a picnic. When the job is done, Travis can roll everyone home again, or help Bob take the house off the trailer for a more permanent home. This 24-piece playset builds a mobile caravan and Travis the Tractor, and includes Bob the Builder and Pilchard figures and accessories. Colorful diagrams illustrate steps for assembly, but adults will likely still need to help little ones with setup. This set can also be constructed in stages--just build Travis and preschoolers will have plenty of opportunity for imaginative play. This is the 2nd biggest set in the Duplo Bob the Builder series, but it seems to be the most pleasing playwise, as it comes with a building with opening windows and door, table and chairs, Bob, his cat, and Travis. It also comes with a trailer to put the house on, and it can be towed by Travis. While the Scoop and Lofty set has two vehicles in it, the buildings do not build up to much of anything, so you would just end up having more loose blocks around the house (that big set has 80+ pieces). I couldn't justify spending the extra money on it either. I recommend this one as the best in the series.

My son loves these sets, but he also has the Thomas Duplos and tends to spend more time playing with those.

my 2-year-old loves bob and loves legos...he likes making the caravan and travis. the other pieces he honestly treats as lego pieces - not really creating anything b-the-b specific. but legos are always a great gift!

I bought this set for my 23 month old son who usually has a limited attention span. It keeps him occupied for an hour at a time. The pieces are simple enough to put together (and I can help him do this with one hand while I hold my 2 mth old son in the other) and sturdy enough so that they do not fall apart easily. He also has the Thomas Train duplo set, but that set requires much more set up and frustrates him easily. This Bob the builder set is a great playset for him since it is colorful, very easy to handle, and very versatile with the different things he can do. He also loves the Bob and cat figures that come with the set.
