We use our Lego Timer all the time in the kitchen and found it to be quite a conversation starter. The timer is not a toy and should not be given to a child to play with but are quite useful and we have found them to be sturdy also.

I purchased one for my 10 year old and within a few days it was broken. He's not particularly hard on his things but with his three brothers around sometimes what I bring home gets torn apart quickly...I found the timer on sale for a under [...] and thought I would try it again. It came broken in the box!! Learned my lesson the hard way.
