First of all, it is important to note that the set is not complex and offers a few scenes that can add to the other Lego Friends sets on the market. It has a cave entrance, a little pier, a raft, etc ... it does come with 2 minfigs (lego friends type) which is on par with other brickmaster sets.

The book itself is in the style of other lego friends products and story lines.

I have a son and a daughter who I encourage to play with legos. This has historically been difficult, simply because my daughter just has not been interested with the Lego City or other variants out there. Only until the "Friends" sets did she get very interested. I have heard the controversy out there about making a specific set geared towards girls. Frankly, I love it. if you get past the whole argument of the way it "should be" and get to the way that it is: these sets are awesome. They grab my daughters attention, and it gets her into building and playing with these 3D puzzles.

In the past, Lego's have been (for the most part) the preview of boys. I know that lego has tried several times to break through that, and in my book, they have been successful. This addition is one more area where I can encourage my little lady to build and explore without trying to encourage her to play with a City Police or Fireman set that she really isn't interested in.

Thanks DK and Thanks LEGO! Lets have more!

If you have a little lady that likes Lego Friends, then don't hesitate to buy this set, it is on par with the other Brickmasters and my daughters face that lit up when she got this is why I give it 5 stars.

I am totally in love with the Lego Brickmasters serie at DK Canada! It is the most original packaging I have seen to encourage your kids to build new things. Now only does it have steps by steps instructions but it also contains Lego bricks for your kids to include in their collection. But when I saw that there was a Lego Friends package now, I just knew that my daughter would be delighted with it.

Jasmine is almost 5 years old and she loves playing with Lego with her brothers. But her own Lego Friends blocks are what she likes the most. She has Stephanie with her motor bike saving rabbits. Seeing that this kit will contains two more mini figures, I suspect that she will have a blast having them interact with each other. And the fact that the minifigure Chloe is a DK exclusive is fabulous as this specific minifigure cannot be found anywhere else!

My sweet daughter loves to play with Lego with her older brother. With them she learns how to stack the block and become creative in her building skills. Having this special book that contains bricks that are specifically designed for little girls is perfect for her. She will love discover the models and exploring the possibilities with her Lego Friends. I am looking forward to play with her with her Lego Friends.

In the book, you will get step-by-step plans to build the various scenes - a bed, a chair and plant, a window, an apple tree, a raft, a work bench, an ax, a mast and rudder, a lookout point, a woodland, a cave, a treasure, a fireplace, a sofa and table. The models also accompanied a story that you can go through with your daughter at the same time. As you advance in the story, you can build the new scene.

This coming Christmas, surprise a little girl in your life by getting Lego Brickmaster Lego Friends. I'm sure she will be delighted to have the possibility of changing the scenes and using her building skills.

I purchased this set, and the Star Wars Brickmaster book. The Friends set is good. The book is well done, and there are multiple builds for the Lego pieces that are offered. The only reason I gave this one 4 stars instead of 5 is that the level of sophistication in this set compared to the Brickmaster Star Wars book is much less. The battle tanks and starships in the Star Wars set are just more complex, take more time to build, and are a lot more interesting. That said, my daughter really likes Lego Friends and really like getting this set. But compared to the Star Wars set (same brand and publisher, and same price), the Friends set is not as good.

There are some neat pieces and things to build, but the story was told so briefly that finding treasure seemed kind of boring.

We bought this for our Lego Friends-obsessed 6 year-old daughter and she LOVED this. The storyline was engaging and the Lego kit assembly was just challenging enough without being too time-consuming or frustrating (unlike some of the bigger sets). Highly recommend as an intoduction to the Lego Friends line or for a child that would appreciate acting out a story with Legos.

Got this cool set from my dad for Christmas, and i love it! (in case ya'll are wondering, i'm 22, and still play with LEGO. Yes, i'm one of those Adult Fans Of LEGO - AFOL)

Anyways, the only complaint i have is that when opening the box, you think you're gonna get a nice bunch of pieces, but not really. LEGO's pretty good about making much larger boxes than necessary, to make it look like more. The box however, did need to fit the size of the book, so it's forgivable, especially since considering when looking at the pieces, discovered that i got 3 of the gold crowns, instead of 1, which the box had indicated. Very AWESOME! =D i love the crowns, and since i have alot of the Belville princesses and a few princes which lack crowns, and these particular ones would work for them too, since they're not pink and too girly. ;)

It's possible the crowns could be one of the particular pieces that constitutes a 'spare/extra part' due to size, but having never received a LEGO set that includes the new style of crown in 'New In Box Condition' i can't determine that yet. it's possible though, or i may have just gotten lucky! =D

so back to the product itself. i had alot of fun reading the story, and playing/building along. with a little bit of add-lib along the way. Even at 22, i'm still a kid at heart. =D

The story itself is pretty cool, and it gives me hope for some more Friends treasure hunt sets/stories in the future, with the addition of a Friends mermaid or two maybe? i sorta have a fascination for mermaids. :)
