This is currently my favorite set. It has 3 instruction books, if that means anything to you. The set has a lot of cool hidden things, such as Sirius's face hidden is the fire, and Tom Riddle's Diary. The characters included are all good, except I must complain about the lack of Ron. Three characters (Harry, Hermione, and Dumbledore) are double faced. The set will take patience and time, but it's worth it.

I have recently bought this and when I opened the package I was amazed with the size of the toy! A Must have for a Harry Potter fan. Very detailed than the Hogwarts Castle of The OOTP castle. This has the library, dumbledore's office, the great hall, room of requirement, common rooms, astronomy tower, owlery and more!! My Son was very pleased with it. Could have been better if Ron was included, But we already have a Ron from Hagrids Hut. As I said, Beautifully Crafted, Huge, and lots of minifigs! A must have Harry Potter Set!

My son opened this at 8pm and had it completely built by 10:30. He has not stopped playing with it since. I'm glad I made him open this present last, as I don't think he would have opened any other Christmas gifts. The set is incredibly detailed - including details like a Quibbler to read (with magnifying glass, so you can actually read it) and Sirius' face in the fireplace. It's a very detailed and fun set that an 8-year-old can build without trouble, and can play with for hours.

Hi, i got this awesome, awesome, awesome, toy for Christmas! It is believe me the best lego set you can buy! It comes with 10 bags and 3 manuals if that means anything to you. it comes with simple things like Sirius Black's face in the Griffondor common room and the mini figures capes are super durable. They will even last through the most terrifying spells. Dumbledore's office is the best! It has many different secret places to hide things like the Basilix fang and the sorcerers stone. The only bad part about the castle is it does not include Ron Weasley which is fine for me because i have him from another set. Still not a reason not to buy it. And it is 100% better than that expensive $500 dollar one that is only 400 some pieces and is probably only a few inches higher than this awesome totally worth the $130 dollars 1,200 some pieces Hogwarts Castle! So if your looking for an awesome lego set do yourself a favorite and buy this must have Hogwarts Castle!

To start off with this review I must say, this said is amazing. Lego has made four Hogwarts Castles since Lego Harry Potter was first released. This Hogwarts is definitely, in my opinion, the best. To begin, I will start at the building process.

The set took me approximately 3-4 hours to build, and I consider myself a speed-builder. Unfortunately, the amount of time it took me was partially because of the amount of stickers. There were lots of them. Some of them were easy to put on, but others-like the walls-gave you a tiny space to fit the sticker on without going to the outside of the brick. Other than stickers the set was very much enjoyable to build. Until the end of the paragraph I will state which pieces have sticker, and which are printed. Stickers include the following: two pictures on the wall in the trophy room; a plaque in gold saying "Seeker [fancy line] James Potter;" a Slytherin banner in the Great Hall' a Griffindor banner in the Great Hall; a 2x2 Slytherin piece in their Common Room; a small Griffindor flag in their Common Room; Sirius Black's head in the fireplace in Griffindor Common Room; and eight wall piece stickers. There are also many printed bricks that already have something on them and need no sticker. They include (but NOT counting minifigures): the Sorting Hat; Daily Prophet newspaper (you can actually read what it says! It says about the mass breakout from Azkaban.); a Hogwarts Acceptance Letter; a scroll with a dragon on it and a sentence saying, "You are far more powerful than you would ever imagine...;" The Quibbler newspaper talking about Harry speaking about Voldemort's return; and the Marauder's Map.

Ok, next are the minifigures and animals. The best to start with should be Harry Potter.

I bought this set when I saw it is $116.99, not bad to have a 10%off,thanks Amazon~
It took me around 4 hours to complete it, and I enjoy every bit of the process.
The castle itself is the biggest HP castle yet issued,
Although there is one 10217 HP set coming very soon in 2011,
This is yet the biggest HP set
The details in this castle is so much better than the existing ones,
It finally comes with the big hall,
anyway, for less than $120, it's a bargain

There are so many moving parts and hidden treasures in this set that it's as much fun to play with after you build it as it is to build it. Very impressive and creative and you relive the stories as you explore all the cool features.

I gave this to my 10 year old grandson for his birthday. He loved it and built it in a day. There are many secret moving parts which make it special and relate to the book stories. A great gift!
