When I heard that Lego was making a quidditch-themed set, I was so excited. The wizard game plays such a big role in ALL of the Harry Potter books so I started envisioning something like Lego's football/soccer theme with complete team sets (I don't think I'm the one who is wishing for an Oliver Wood minifig) and after all my imaginings, this set was a bid of a let down. Included are Harry & Draco in their quidditch robes, Malfoy with his very cool black Nimbus 2001 and Harry with his brown Nimbus 2000. We also have Madame Hooch playing as a referee in black robes. Her hairpiece is sort of a grey flat top. Also included are three standing hoops (don't we need 6 for a real match?) and an observation stand with one single seat. One nice feature was a blue quidditch book (I wish it had been green like "Quidditch through the ages"). What would Quidditch be without a quaffle, a snitch, and bludgers? The quaffle piece is red ball, and the bludgers are black. I think Lego could have done better with the Golden Snitch. On the Harry/Draco remembrall set the remembrall piece was really impressive, clear with a golden band around it. For the snitch I had hoped for something along those lines but instead it is just a tiny plate piece painted gold. No wings, nothing. There is also a catapult of sorts for sending the balls into the air, but I find it to be a useless feature. I like this set (#4726, 128 pieces) but the idea could have been executed so much better. I suppose one could buy multiples of this set along with other pieces to make the perfect Quidditch pitch but it would have been nicer if this set had made a better attempt. I suppose that is why one should pay careful attention to the title of the set, "Quidditch Practice."(note: as of writing this, Amazon has a weird picture of the set where Madame Hooch's hairpiece has been switched with Harry, it looks odd, I guess they didn't follow the set's simple directions!)

Hi! This set is awsome. It contents are Harry Potter, (duh!) Draco Mowfoy, Madam Hooch, 1 Quaffel (It's like the thing on a Toa's body only red) 2 Blugers (it IS the thing on a Toa's body!) 1 Snich ( A round gold peice) and 1 stand. I went to the make and take Quidditch tower event @ "Toys R Us" and I put that with it. I must say it's awsome. later days!

A reviewer in CT noted that the heads are switched in the photo Amazon/Toys R Us posts of the set. In fact, it is their hair. Harry's hair is switched with Mme Hooch's. Looks really funny, but isn't accurate, so if you were wondering who those characters were, or what Harry was doing in bug glasses, that's your answer. I have the set and agree with another reviewer that LEGO could have done a better job with the Quidditch set. It's like they started to design the full blown set you would expect and then lost interest. It is especially frustrating that the golden snitch has no wings. LEGO needs to come out with a complete Quidditch game set to rival LEGO soccer. Still, it's cool that they got their 2nd year brooms correct...

This was my five year old son's favorite Christmas gift this year - better than video games, board games, etc... He loves Harry Potter, and he is thrilled to have these little Harry and Draco replicas to play Quidditch with. I have not seen the soccer and football lego sets, so maybe this could have been better, but my 5 year old loves it, plays with it and takes care of it... that's all a mom can ask for in a toy.

I bought this toy several months ago, when I was on my Harry Potter and Lego craze. I found it interesting at first, it had the new bodies and character, Madame Hooch, but with only the 3 rings and 1 seater stand, this set leaves much to be desired. In order to make a complete Quidditch stadium, you would need to purchase several of these sets. In addition, I now no longer play with the toy but use it for spare parts. ...

This set is a realy cool set.It has Harry(in quidditch robes), Draco(quidditch robes), and Madam Hooch. The set has three goal posts. If you want more you cab allways buy the set again. I manage though. It comes with a one person bleacher. I just built some more out of our big tub of lego pieces. All in all this is a very cool set and I like it.

It's time for a Quidditch match, and Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy are ready (brooms in hand) to go head-to-head! Madam Hooch has the chest with the Quaffle, the two Bludgers and the Gold Snitch. There's a (one seat) viewing stand and the three hoops - let the game begin! My daughter has really gotten hooked on Harry Potter, so she saved up her money and bought this little gem! It has a little catapult, so that you can organize a real game of trying to shoot the Quaffle through the hoops. My daughter set up the set on a LEGO platform, built bleachers out of regular LEGO pieces, and put Hermione and Ron on one side, and Professor Snape on the other, with Professor Quirrel behind him - taking the action back to the Sorcerer's Stone as well. As with all LEGO sets, you are only limited by your imagination! I give this set a 4 for durability, because the small parts are easy to lose, but this is common to all LEGOs so it's no surprise. My daughter loves this toy, and gives it her highest recommendation.

this is a neat lego set! I gave it 4 stars because it only has three rings and one place for people to watch from. this set could be better if it had more rings. you should buy 2 of these sets to have enough rings and balls. but how are you going to get lots of broom sticks? just buy more of these sets!all in all this is a neat lego set but it could be better.

I don't have this toy but i just wanted to comment on the picture posted on Amazon of this sight--Madam Hooch's head is on Harry's body and Harry's head is on Madam Hooch's body. Just wanted to point that out. this set looks cool though, its from The Chamber of Secrets becuz it has Malfoy playing Quidditch and he starts playing in the 2nd book.

This is so lame. If it weren't for misled grandparents, none of these would sell. They do not even remotely look like the characters. Their bodies are out of proportion to their heads. I don't know a single kid that would play with these. If their friends saw them, they'd get beat up. Toys are supposed to leave something up to the child's imagination, but this is ridiculus. Lego could do better.
