This is a nice little $30 lego set that features two Mirkwood trees, two spiders, and four mini figures, Fili, Kili, Tauriel, and Legolas. There are quite a few unique pieces to this set I really enjoyed, such as the spider web, two spider sacs (which you can put mini figures in and hang from the tree), mushrooms, skulls, bones, vines, and mini spiders.

My favorite thing about the set is the glow in the dark pieces used for the spider eyes and the mushrooms, and I also like the spider net sacs which you can put the figures in and hang from the tree. I also think the mushroom piece is pretty neat. The spiders themselves are pretty cool, they have a good shape and look to them and I like how you can adjust the legs on them. If any of you got the LotR Shelob lego set, think of these as miniatures of Shelob.

Overall this was a fun set to build, but only took about an hour or so to build. It has 298 pieces and cost me $29.99 at a local store. It was actually one of the more difficult sets to build just because a lot of the pieces are all black and are similar shape, it just took a little longer to build, thats all. I should mention there two moveable pieces in this set. First, there is pin you can pull and you can knock the larger tree over. And second, there is a little hole you can put a mini spider in and then push a brick to shoot the spider out.

The minifigures themselves are great, the hair pieces are nice, and I like Kili comes with double swords and Tauriel comes with double elf knives as well. Fili comes with a bow and arrow, and Legolas comes with one elf knife and a bow and arrow. For now, if you want these figures, this is the only set that has them.

This toy is probably my favorite lego the Hobbit set. It is a nice $25/30 dollar set (I picked mine up for $30 at walmart), and you get: two giant spiders, 3 smaller spiders (two of them are black, one is glow-in-the-dark), Legolas Greenleaf with a long bow, Tauriel with two knives plus an extra one, Kili with a bow and a quiver of arrows, Fili with two swords and a quiver of arrows (I have no idea why Fili has a quiver), two trees, lots of bones, a mechanism that allows you to "cut" the tree down and rescue the dwarves, and a compartment that when you push a lever and the glow-in-dark spider shoots out. This set is very detailed and is lots of fun. But it has a lot of small parts and young kids could choke on them, so it's mostly an older kid or grown up collector set. Overall this is a great set and I would recommend it to any Hobbit/lord of the rings fan.

This set just misses the five star mark so it is a very good set. I am a very book accurate person so I would have rather seen bilbo with some stones rather than Legolas and Taurial. The spiders are great looking and smooth eith great durabilty. Lego could have added one more though The forestry parts are pretty good but Lego coud have done better. Fortunately, I did make it better, with the web stretching across the trees. I realy like the webs Fili and Kili are caught in. I do not think it is woth $30 dollars but the price of $21 (what I got it at) is a great buy and woth it. Overall a great buy with a few flaws.

Spine tingling setting, detailed figures, rare glow-in-the-dark peices, and relatively easy to put together! Great for ages 6-15! I would buy this any day!

Lego is awesome as always. I got a couple of these sets, because this scene wasn't actually in the first Hobbit movie, and it states the name on the box, so I'm hoping it will increase in value :)

This set is a bit of a mess as far as parts go...lots of random little skulls and spiders and such. The big spiders are great, though, and of course the little Dwarves. Buy it for the Dwarves. You know you want to play with Lego-las and those little Dwarves. Dwarves in spider sacks!

Item was like new. Son played with for days and days. He still likes to show off the clever mechanisms within the set.
