I picked this set up because it was fairly cheap (I bought it for 6.99 EURO) and because it came with some very cool minifigures. This set comes with one King's army soldier figure that has a very detailed printed head, torso, and a nicely printed shield. He also has a silver sword and a silver helmet with a red feather. Additionally, this set comes with one Dragon Knight soldier figure that has a very detailed printed head, torso, and legs. He also has a gray sword and battle ax, and a new Lego helmet with a green feather. This set also comes with a small stand that holds the Dragon Knight soldier's banner and sword (you can also use the stand as a target for the catapult). The catapult itself is a very entertaining build and when finished it looks like a genuine medieval catapult, and it shoots its projectile quite far. The catapult is equipped with wheels and a place on the side for the King's army soldier's shield. Well, here are the basics of the set:

Over all, I very highly recommend this set.

The Knights Showdown set is fairly simple, but I needed some additional minifigures for the LEGO® Castle Medieval Market Village (10193), so this came in quite handy. The set comes with two knights (one Lion Knight and one Dragon Knight) plus a catapult and various weapons for the knights.

Complexity: There are 61 pieces in this set, so it's a breeze to assemble. The catapult is the most complex element, and even that was pretty simple. 5 minutes and you're done.

Playability: This is a fun little set. I bought it mostly for display, but my son gave the catapult a few tries and had some fun with the knights, switching out weapons and staging battles.

This is a terrific introductory set to the Lego Kingdoms line, and is a great (and cheap) way to add some knights to your collection. It's also a good companion piece to the LEGO® Kingdoms Prison Carriage Rescue 7949 set.

This is a cute little set that adds projectiles into the battle. The knights are fun for staging battles. The catapult was easy to put together and very sturdy. It is one of the things that gets put in the Lego box with all the loose Legos and actually stays together. The catapult is not spring loaded or anything; it operates by you flicking the lever side down. Despite this it works very well.

My 4 year old son and I have gotten a ton of play with this. It is fun by itself but even more fun when you pair it with some of the other Kingdoms Lego sets. This catapult isn't as popular as some of the spring loaded projectiles (ones on Bionicles, Imaginext, or Duplo sets) but it works well and gets used quite frequently at our house.

I bought this as a gift for some boys. It looks fun but I am not sure if it makes a great gift after receiving it. The box for the set is one of the smallest I have seen and it's made of very thin cardboard. It was squashed and looking sad when I got it in the mail. I don't know why the company package this set in a worse and smaller box than another set that has less pieces. I hope the recipients of the gift like them even though the box doesn't look impressive.

Was a Christmas present, not a holiday present, for my son. He was happy and enjoys putting Lego's together. He's happy, I am happy. Enough said. He would probably give this item all 5's.

This is a great addition to the castle set. Our kids got the big catsle and the medieval market along with a number of smaller add-ons like this one. Lots of fun, and it's wonderful to see our kids on the livingroom floor playing with some imagination.
