5.0 out of 5 stars Good Because It's Different (and the Truck is Sweet)
My daughter is only 18 months old and I was dissapointed that it only took her 0.2 seconds to complete this supposedly complex 450-odd piece Lego set.

Joking. I seem to have the only kid who is not some super-powered Lego freak. She's seven and she loves Lego. She also loves wind turbines ever since she saw 8 of them on the shore of Lake Erie. So this was...

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT a DEAL!
C'mon, it's legos so of course they're great and everybody will love them but had to give all one stars to show the real problem here. I just don't understand how this site says the regular price is $150 but you can get it for a super sale ranging from $40-$60. Go to the Lego website and it's regular price is actually $60 and they have it on sale for $30. Way to mark it...

Always check the lego site before "Scoring a deal."

So this was an ideal gift. The wind turbine really adds to the Lego city, but to be honest the truck is the best feature.

I was personally disappointed to discover that the wind turbine lacks a motor to enable it to turn without manual intervention. Admittedly, a battery powered wind turbine somewhat defeats the purpose of alternative energy - but the darn thing won't spin round in the wind either.

Great Lego set. Reasonable value for Lego (i.e. just a rip-off rather than OMG total rip-off). I have "find motor for wind turbine" on my (scarily long) to-do list.

As of today, Amazon is listing this toy on sale, and saying that the original price is $150 - however the actual original price on Lego.com is only $60. Don't get sucked into this "sale".

I was very pleased to find this recently discontinued Lego set on Amazon for slightly under retail. It is well worth the price for what you get, and it is a lot of fun. I was a bit worried when it said there are 400 some odd pieces, but I was able to finish it pretty quickly actually. Each component is in a separate numbered baggie. The word-less instructions are easy and simple. I found in this entire set, there were about 6 little extra pieces included - the little detail things like an extra tail light, etc.

The non-motorized turbine stands tall at about 15-16 inches and it rotates and also pivots. The entire set is very detailed and looks very streamlined and realistic. The trucks are incredibly detailed and have sturdy rubber tires. It was very fun to put together. For all that this set comes with, I think its great to look at and a super value.

I bought this for my 10 year old Grandson because we drive by these on the way to the Greyhound farm. He loved it and so did all the adults. He did say he wishes Lego would come out with just the wind tubine so he could buy a bunch and make a wind farm like out in southern Illinois. So...hint hint Lego Engineers!
