From the Manufacturer

Every Minecraft world has a village hidden somewhere. Create and customize your own, all with LEGO bricks. In this LEGO micro-world you can build your houses and grow the crops, but watch out for the aggressive Zombies that menace the Villagers. My 10 year old has some issues with challenges and details so I thought getting him a Lego set of his favorite iPad game would give him incentive to stick to the task. When the package arrived I was dismayed that this will probably not work as I anticipated since the micro small pieces will probably prove to be too much for him. It's a Christmas gift and I know he will love it initially I just hope that he actually does it.

That being said, if I would have read closer for detail myself I would have noticed that it does say the completed product is a 10 cm square. For those not familiar with "micro" sets the brick size is not even 1cm. More like 8mm so buyer be aware if buying for a younger child. I would most definitely stick with the recommended age of 10+ unless your child has demonstrated very good dexterity and building skills.

Other than that I expect that this will have the same durability that most Lego products have. Just disappointed of the size and price.

These are nice little Lego sets for any MineCraft enthusiast. Be warned that these are micro Lego sets, meaning all the blocks are the tiniest that Lego makes. These almost lose a star because of how small they are versus their price, but it is what it is. My son really likes them -- he likes the Village a little more than the Nether if you have to make a decision between the two.

This "micro" set is a great combination of Lego and Minecraft. It's different from regular Lego sets, it has mostly simple 1x1s and is a much smaller set once assembled (the box is only 3" in length, width, and depth). We bought the Nether and the Village - both sets are great. You can customize modules once constructed, this gives great flexibility with the set. The sets are simple yet don't feel as repetitive as some other Lego sets. Once constructed, the modules are remarkably stable given the smaller frame.

It would be great to have the entire collection, but at $35 a set, it adds up to be quite expensive. Price and availability of these sets seems to be varying quite a bit. I did a fair amount if research and it seems $33-$37 is the range in which these sets typically sell. If they are out of stock, they come back in stock pretty quick, so it might be better to wait for stock rather than pay higher prices (I have seen these selling for as much as $60!).

At first I thought these were massively expensive, then when I got them in and saw such a small box, I was disappointed, but my son wanted them so Wrapped them and put them under the tree. I kept second guessing myself thinking I spent a lot of money on a tiny box that couldn't have more than a few pieces. It wasn't until my son opened them that I was informed they had over 400pieces. They are tiny but they are perfect for him.

I find it interesting that Lego is making so much money off of this product. Be warned that it is 466 very tiny pieces that almost require tweezers to disconnect. Receiving a very small box was disconcerting. That being said, my daughter still loved it and has spent many hours playing with it, with some adult help.

Grandson who is 7 loved the challenge and put it together in hour. Amazing. He smiled to see it when he opened it, and appreciated it too. He waited all year for it. Highly recommend it to others.

Totally rip off if you pay anything more than $36.00 for this set. As much as your kids may like this for the Holiday, it is a really small set and not worth over $40 bucks! I bought ours at our mall near by at the Lego store. Don't get ripped off!

WOW! Marketing scheme alert anyone? Last week this retailed on Amazon at around $35.00. In fact I purchased the Nether version at a local LEGO store for around 36 bucks this last Sunday (The village and the other were priced the same as the Nether). NOW Amazon shows it as listing price of $142.00 marked down to $80.00 telling you that you SAVE $$? More like Amazon hiked the listing price up 400% and took off a few bucks to trick you into thinking you saved $$! You are getting ripped off buying this for anything over $36.00.
