I played with legos when I was young and now I have 4 boys who love them. Even the teenagers who come over can't resist sitting down and creating when the 'lego bucket' is out. My 15 year old saved up his money to buy this set and wasn't disappointed. I had to leave the day free on the day they arrived because he didn't want to do anything but play with these. They start out as the original creation but over time they are taken apart and new creations are made.

2009.08.12 The only problem we had was the instruction manual was incomplete. It did have repeat pages. I called their service department and they took action immediately. I have not received the manual but they did tell me one would be out in the mail the following day. Other than that it is a great toy.

This is waaaaaaaay overpriced at $149.99. It's available for about $80 at ToysRUs and the Lego store, including online. All of the Mars Mission sets are overpriced on Amazon.

I purchased this Lego set for my grandson,who,I must say, did a great job building it without using the manual. However, it is very disappointing to find out that once it is built its structural design is flawed, and it has fallen apart twice. I would like to return it as it was rather expensive (So-o-o overpriced), and you would think for this price, it should work all the way around. But,it doesn't, and who wants to pack up 800 Lego pieces to ship back? So, my grandson is using the pieces for another project. Save your money,folks, and skip this one!

NOT a good lego set at all. Putting it together is fun, but it doesn't hold together well. It is NOT well designed. The hinge that is supposed to allow the bottom to drop (and stay attached) is held together with a rubber band. It's very EASY for the rubber band to become detached and then the whole thing doesn't work any more. Only bad lego set we've ever bought--too bad it was also the most expensive.

This product is DOUBLE the price than at toys r us!!!!

This ticks me off! I pretty much do ALL my Xmas shopping on Amazon. I expect to find the best deals on Amazon and not to find that items are soooooo marked up! Now I will have to go down my list of more than 20 items in my cart to figure what else I shouldn't buy on here!
