Some of the Ninjago kits are too tough for my six year old to put together (although not too tough for his 8 year old brother). This was a great kit for my 6 year old. It comes with a bunch of Legos and directions for building five or so different things. All of them were within his skill level and the directions were clear. Nice choice, although maybe a bit overpriced at $20.00.

I've really enjoyed the LEGO City and LEGO Star Wars Brickmaster sets, but I found that this one wasn't as much fun. There are a lot of things that you can build, but they are all almost exactly the same. First you get to build a ninja shrine and a little skeleton car. Then you make them over and over again with VERY slight differences until you finally get to build a cool skeleton mech at the very end of the book.

Although this set gives young builders some information about the world of Ninjago, and it comes with some cool LEGO pieces, it is way too repetitive to be enjoyed by most. However, some of the other Brickmaster kits are great for builders ages 4-12. You get to build different objects and vehicles that go along with a short story, while getting cool bricks and some tips and tricks from LEGO.

I really like the LEGO City set because you get to build lots of different cars, boats, and planes, and I like the LEGO Star Wars set because you get to build Star Wars vehicles. The LEGO City one is aimed more towards 4-8 year olds, although a 12 or 13 year old would enjoy it as well. But the LEGO Star Wars one has about 100 more pieces than all the other Brickmasters currently out. Each Brickmaster set comes with two minifigures in addition to the LEGO pieces, and a convenient way to store the bricks in a box attached to the front inside cover of the book.

For some reasons I only have one child highly interested in the Lego Ninjago. I guess he loves Ninja things and find this series interesting. Every time we go to Wal-Mart, he stares at the HUGE Ninjago kit in the clearance section. As much as I would like to purchase it for him the price is still out of my range... So I am very happy to received the Lego Brickmaster Ninjago from DK Canada to review. My second son, Dominic, was delighted to get it on his birthday last week!

First of all in all Lego Brickmasters kit you will receive bricks as well as two mini figures. In this particular kit, you will find 140 bricks as well as Kai the Ninja of Fire and Frakjaw a soldier of the Skeleton Army. The book contains instructions on how to build specific scenes where there two characters can fight.

In this particular kit, your child will develop scenes like the Sword of Fire, the Skeleton Mission, the Spinjitzu Shrine, the Ninja Attack, and the Battle for Ninjago. You will find clear and detailed instructions to build a doom buggy, a catapult of flames, a red ninja shrine, a skull cave, a skeleton tank, a shrine of weapons, a spinning fireballs, a fire rider, a rock rack, a shrine of spinjitzu, a cart of bones, a sacred fireplace, a shrine of sacred fire, a camouflage, and a monster machine. To be honest the monster machine is probably the coolest one I find. But knowing my child I knew that he would quickly dig into the book and build the various item rapidly. Within a day he had discovered all the book and was even building his own creations.

Needless to say, my kids have a blast with the Lego Brickmasters. Other Brickmasters kits include Lego Friends, Ninjago - Fight the Power of the Snakes, Pirates, Star Wars, Castle, Lego City, and Atlantis. Each of them are unique and some even contains mini figurines that you won't be able to find somewhere else. In April, another Brickmaster based on the Chima Lego will come out.

My 5 year old grandson loves Legos and Ninjas so the Ninjago sets seemed a good choice. However most of the building sets are way too complex, not to mention expensive. I came upon this option on amazon and am so glad I ordered it. The bricks included make 4 or 5 different sets of items with a 'story line' in the book to go along with it. There are a few 'cool' Ninja men included. This has been a HUGE hit and has already provided hours of play.
Another note for anyone who might have previously bought the Police city book version like this....unlike that set in which you could usually only build one item at a time with the bricks and pieces included...with this set you can build ALL of the items within each given set/story line. BIG improvement. HIGHLY recommended.

For his bday, my 8-y-o son wanted a Ninjago set because he saw a friend got one. Price wasn't really factor, but this was the cheapest set and the other sets seem way overpriced. The instructions for the different things to build is a nice 8x10 book that has the storage pocket for the pieces.

Within half-an-hour after he started playing with it, he said he'd done most of the structures in the book. Still, he enjoys playing with and making his own structures.

My son absolutely loved this toy from Santa! He is 5 and was able to read through the directions to build it pretty much on his own with some help from dad! A favorite!!!!!!!!!
