LEGO Naboo N-1 Starfighter with Vulture Droid

This beautiful starfighter jet? spaceship? never fails to elicit comments about its coolness or awesomeness from young visitors to our house. It was the first of my son's lego birthday presents that he assembled. He treasures this toy and takes great pains to make sure it doesn't get destroyed or broken or mixed up in the general lego bin. But even if it were to get mixed in, the bright yellow color should make it easier to find the needed pieces if my son ever wished to rebuild it.

The starfighter is pretty durable too. It has been dropped several times and it is either undamaged or breaks in an easily fixable way - no shattered lego pieces strewn across the floor.

It also comes with R2D2, a couple of people (I think one is Anakin), and a smaller fighter ship, so the set provides enough extras for lots of imaginative play.

Attention! Attention everyone! Your prayers about a better Naboo Starfighter have been answered! After discovering that Lego made new Episode 1 sets I looked at this one and the old one. The new set has a generic fighter pilot and Anakin has hair. The droid starfighter has a walk and fly mode. Basically, these sleek ships wipe away the competion.

The Naboo Starfighter model has some great unique pieces and is very durable. The kit also includes the bricks and instructions for a second, smaller model which makes this a very good value!

My son got this as as birthday present, and it is very cool looking. He put it together with some help, and it just wouldn't stay together very well. His dad, who has loved and collected legos for years, tried to reinforce the design with additional pieces. That didn't even help. I have read the other reviews suggesting that the design is durable, but the wings collapsed on my son's when he tried to put people into the cockpit. Despite this, we have rebuilt the ship at least 6 times because it is wonderful visual design, very slick looking.

Got this for my son for X-Mas and he loves it, over a period of time he put it together and finally finished with it. Great for them down times at home when the kids need something to do. I would get it again.

Like the other Lego toy I bought, this was a great value and a hit with the recipient, who is a Lego fan to begin with.

I saw this thing before I saw the old version of this set, and there's really no comparison. It is a really sweet kit. The launcher would beat a sniper in a compitition of distance. (Not really; this thing can't shoot 2 1/2 miles with pinpoint accuracy. Actually, this thing can't shoot 2.5 miles at all. Drat.) Both the N-1 and the Vulture Droid look awesome, but the Vulture Droid's "flick fire missles" don't work at all. Who cares, though? It's a sweet set either way you cut it.

My son received this for his 8th birthday. He loved it! He was old enough to be able to build this from the directions without help and fast build it, he did! I thought that would be it - $[...] and he was done with it in a single afternoon - but no, he gets a good amount of imaginative play with the finished models, so it was a very worthwhile purchase. This is a great buy for children who have taken interest in the Star Wars movies and who love to assemble LEGO's. And I expect adults who are collectors of this genre would appreciate this gift also.

frist there was some promblems with this lego 1 it kept falling apart so i had to glue it 2 the missles dont fier good on droid and the missle on the naboo does not work 3 r2d2 does not fall from his escape pod. But this is fun to build and is fun to play with. If your okay with these promblems then get this lego if your then dont. get anakins star fighter instead.

Birthday present for my 7-year-old son. He put it together by himself and had fun doing it. He really enjoys playing with it, together with his other LEGO Star Wars toys. It sometimes comes apart a bit, but is easily put back together. Overall a good buy.
