My 6 year and I had a ball putting this set together. Like all Lego sets, the instructions were super easy to follow and it went smoothly. He's enjoyed this set for hours. Would recommend for any Lego kid who is into Ninjago.
My nephew listed this on his birthday list and I was a little skeptical after seeing the price. I thought it was too much to pay for a toy that he might not put together. He told me that if I got it her would put it together and he has enjoyed putting many other smaller legos together so I got it. He was thrilled to open it for his birthday and he put it together by himself in an afternoon and an evening. We play with it and use dominoes for him to knock over with the wrecking ball. I was afraid the ball would come apart but it has not and it can move to different lengths with the chain attached to the ball. He has played with it for hours and it is AWESOME!!!
While I still think that these Lego sets are priced a little high for what they are, Lego sets are creative play and the instructions are easy to follow. My son has been able to assemble the set without help.
This toy is very weak. The tail falls off every five minutes while playing. The weapon holder may seem like a good feature, but barely any kind of LEGO weapon can fit in it. Lloyd's weapon is too heavy! It is very hard to have the mini figure stand while holding it and Cole's weapon is very hard to place in his hands. The wrecking ball swings too much. Once it has been swung the ball will go around and come back and hit the snake vehicle. Also, one of the treadmills falls off very easily. You can't play for ten minutes without having it fall off.
