A couple negative reviews on this item gave me pause, but I ended up buying this for my son anyway. Granted, he's a little older than 6 or whatever the ages were of the other reviewers, so maybe that made it more tolerable.

I've never written a review on Amazon before; it was only because of the negative reviews that turned out to be....misleading...that I thought it only fair to give a positive review.

The big complaint was that the thing doesn't stay together very well. For us, it does. Bear in mind, there are parts that are supposed to come off, so they're pretty loose to begin with, but...

It's fine. Don't be dissuaded by the negative reviews.

This is a great Lego set, with typical Lego quality. I have had no issues with anything falling apart on it. My just about 6 year old son loves the set and hasn't had anything fall apart on him that he wasn't able to easily fix. It is fragile in the sense you can't be hard on it or pieces will fall off, but you can play with it gently and not worry about it.

My son absolutely loves this set. It has fun playing with the mini figures and all the training aids in the dojo, like the spinning sword blades and dropping axes. It is a nice looking set and as his first Ninjago set he is very excited to save up for more sets from the series.

My son is 8 years old and has many of the other lego sets, including star wars. He loves this set and built it entirely by himself. He is sure this is his favorite of all sets. It has many spinning parts which make it interactive and also has a ninja guy with a spinning base, which makes the action very fun! I highly recommend this.
