My five year old is crazy about Legos. I wasn't sure if he was going to like the "spinners". I can't believe how much fun he is having with it. He plays with it all the time. The only assistance he needed in putting it together was opening the package. It is a versatile toy. He plays with just the figure by itself and also with the spinner. It is great for imaginative play as well. I find him imaginatively battling all sorts of things! Some Legos are just built and never played with, but not this one. This one has and will continue to give hours of fun! I strongly recommend this if your child is into Legos and is in the 4 to 5 year old range. My 9 year old boy who loves Legos is too old for it.
the amazon questionnaire's second question is education value.. obviously there is not much building with the spinner pieces.. what it lacks in lego building it makes up for by helping little ones use their hands.. spinning.. timing.. body and weapon placement.. all help your kids dexterity!!
Lego's reputation speaks for itself. My son loves these sets and plays with them constantly. Although it is more fun to do together, the directions are easy enough for him to put together himself if he just can't wait. All the parts are always there and usually some extras as well.
