It's great to have another ship to build from Lego. This one is about like Brickbeard's Bounty, but a little longer. there is no double deck like the Imperial Flagship. Plus there are only three cannons.

There are seven, count em seven mini figs here, including BlackBeard and Jack Sparrow, plus some wench (cruz's carachtor i assume) all with swords (though Blackbeard's sword is better then the rest)and one with a pistol

there are seven bags here labled 1 - 7 for each step. an extra bag with rigging and mast in it plus a cardboard envelope with sails in it. so this will be an easy build even though there are over 1000 pieces

i like the ship, but, it is an easy build because of the bag labling. the mini figs are the best part though. they did a great job on Jack. I got this a week early from lego.

Postscript: Them Bones
Now that i am completely finished i can tell you there are actually more then the seven Mini figs, there are three full skeletons also. pleanty of bonework detaling around the ship too.

My 7 year old grandson spent hours building the Queen Anne's Revenge Ship.
This ship has such detail and a child can use their imagination and recreate many of the movie scenes because it comes with many featured characters.
Hours and hours of fun during the processing of building and afterwards too!

Wanted to get this for our 5 year old for a while, and finally got it for Christmas. This was the first time our son put together a Lego set of more than 1k pieces, and it was surprisingly not as difficult as we had anticipated.

The set has been very well thought out and has been broken down well for intuitive assembly and with easy to follow instructions. There is no point where one would get stuck or would be likely to make a mistake (some sets always have that one point where mistakes become very likely and require complete dis-assembly to correct). I had to help only towards the end when some pieces require delicate assembly. Other than that, it was relatively simple and took a total of 6 hours or so to put together.

Once assembled, the set looks absolutely magnificent and is one of the few Lego sets that will sit safely on our mantle for some time, unlike most sets that are soon forgotten. The detail on the set is fantastic. The set is sturdy and there is no weak point in it which would cause it to snap easily (again a problem with several Lego sets).

Once again, I am amazed at the ingenuity of the folks at Lego. I cannot even imagine how many hours, days and weeks would have gone into designing this set. Hats off!

Lego dad here trying hard to hide the smile on my face as I stare at the crimson beauty that is awaiting a home in my collection. After three nights of building (I only get about 2 hours to myself with my little one running around) the Queen Ann's Revenge (QAR) is complete. I've never been a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean (PotC) movies; however, I love the theme sets that Lego has been doing for them. I have been pretty disappointed by the price and piece count on the smaller sets, but this one is done right.

The box, massive and includes 7 numbered bags, 1 bag of other parts, 7 mini figures, the ships sails a poster and a trading card. You can usually find this set anywhere from 100 to 120$ and it is worth that price all day long. Other reviews have complained about the size of the ship, and as I sit and look at it now I have to wonder how much bigger they were expecting it to be? The QAR was completely a purchase for me, although my son is staring at it jealously...

The Good: It is a Lego pirate ship. Really, it is big, black, and full of skulls and dread. The build was unique and fun, there was a little tedium involved, but overall I was extremely satisfied putting it together. It will take you some time; this is not a set that you can rush though. The last half of book 2 of the instructions (mostly the masts and sails) took me over 45 minutes. It comes with 7 mini figures including a few that are exclusive to this set. It looks phenomenal once it's put together, very grand, and really feels worth the money. It feels study as well, during the build and after I have moved it around quite a bit, and have done so with confidence that it is not going to fall apart. The masts all detach easily and the cabin can also be removed pretty quickly.

My almost 7-year old nephew is an avid LEGO builder. He was estatic when he got this set for Christmas 2011 and he couldn't wait to start building the ship. With over 1,000 pieces, I though he would definitely need help, but it turned out he did it all by himself. It took him a whole day to finish and we had to force him to take breaks in between. The ship is big and the details are incredible. It's now on display in his room. My nephew is a very experienced LEGO builder, but at times he was frustrated with some of the more difficult steps. We just told him to take a break, then come back to tackle it again. It was fun watching him putting this beautiful ship together. This set is not for beginners and it takes patience.
