As a child I used to play with LEGOs all the time, and now that I'm "grown-up" I couldn't justify buying them. (Plus my pets would probably eat them). So I was so excited when I saw this.

The ONLY bad thing is that it takes so long to build your character and car. After that, its loads of fun to race through LEGO towns against other LEGO drivers, collecting different bricks along the way, that when combined, give you weapons, speed and other fun surprises. Its a must have for any LEGO fan.

I just purchased Lego Racers and I think its a good game! When I first heard about it, I was excited to build my own cars out of legos and race them. Now that I have the game I do have a couple complaints. Being a big mario Kart fane I couldn't wait to build a car and race my buddies with it, but Lego racer is only a two player game not a four, which takes some fun away. Also in the two player mode you can only race each other, there is no option to race a friend and the computer. Lego racers is a two player game, but when buying it, I would picture it being only a one player game and let the two player mode be a bonus. Don't buy it if you want a good multi player racing game. Also, it is very slow! Often times I wish it would just pick up the pace a little bit. On the lighter side, it is as much fun building a car and racing the computer that I hoped for. Building a car does take a lot of time, but at the end it's worth it. Lego Racers is a original good game! It could of been a great one with better multi player options and if it was a little faster, but it is still a good one that I would recomend!

Lego Racers was a pretty fun game, but the fun didn't last long. I got this game along with Donkey Kong 64 for Christmas, and I started playing DK64 first. Needless to say DK kept me pretty busy for a while. So it took me at least 1 1/2 months before I really got to playing Lego Racers. It was fun at first, but I beat it in about a week and a half (an hour a day). After that, it lost much of its appeal. What I didn't like about this game was a)The speed of the game was really slow( you can't push "B" to go back, you have to select "back" using "A") Also, once you click it takes up to 5 some seconds before it changes. b) Building a car, although fun, is extremely restricted. I'm always trying to put a part in a certain spot and it won't let me put it there. c) There's no 4 player mode, and the two player mode isn't that great. You only race each other. d) You absolutely need to own a memory card to save your game, otherwise you'll start from scratch every time you turn the game on. And EVERYTHING needs to be saved. This did not turn out to be a problem with me because I have a memory card, although I had to erase everything on it first. Another thing annoying about this was that you couldn't use a rumble pack because the memory card is in the slot. e) There isn't enough tracks. Half of them are exactly the same except for being a mirror image of the original ones. A little disappointing. f) The cars are harder to control than the ones on Mario Kart 64. Okay, enough complaining. These are it's advantages: a) Unique tracks with lots of shortcuts (Really cool!) b) TONS of parts that become unlocked as you progress through the game. c)4 different camera views, one even lets you ride on the bumper! d) Each car performs to how it was built, which makes it fun to build the car that's right for you! Bottom line? Well, considering its price, it not really a waste of money. That is, if you don't already own Mario Kart 64. Get that one instead! I've had it three times longer than Lego Racers, I've played a hundred times longer, and am still not sick of it. BUY MARIO KART INSTEAD!

Finally a game that lets you build your own car to race. And you get to build it with Legos. You would think this would be cool, but it is not as cool as you think. I own hundreds of Legos and love to build things with them. So I thought this game would be one of the best racing games, but I was wrong. You only get about 5 chassies to chose to build on. It doesn't let you build the whole car. The tracks are not too interesting and they are short. The championship races are easy to begin with but get really hard, really fast. The weapons are cheap and hard to get a good weapon. The multiplayer mode is about the same as the rest of the game but with a smaller screen. The it is hard to control your car and even harder if you try to powerslide around a shrap corner. If you have money to waste you could buy this game, but if you are looking for a fun racing game, keep looking because this is not the game you want.

Here is what you do with this game, when it first starts you can either select a pre-made Lego car or build one of your own to race. Lots of parts, lots of body frames for speed, traction and so on. It is a good game to teach kids about dynamics because they build their own cars. Then you go and race a circuit of four races. Each circuit has a specific Lego theme, like space, explorer and pirates. If you come in anything over 3rd place in the circuit you can advance to the next circuit. If you come in first place you get a new selection of pieces from that theme to build with. As for the races themselves, it is like Mario Kart where you pick up different weapons to injure other drivers! Exploding barrels, harpoons, even three missiles! There are speed-ups, force fields and more things to protect your car from the other drivers. The challenge is pretty decent, from the first circuit being super easy to the final circuit being a huge challenge.

My son received this game as a gift for his birthday. We were both very dissapointed when we opened the game and began to play. There are only 4 tracks to choose from and none of them are very exciting. Many of the tracks are hard to see and when you add more than on player, it becomes even harder. The pace is also very slow. Even my 5 year old was unimpressed.

I think this is a game you must buy because unlike other racing games, Lego Racers allows you to build your own car and driver. The graphics are good as well as the sound, but sometimes the music will drive you nuts!

This is a very good game for lego fans! The turning isnt the best, but the graphics are very nice! This game has many levels! Every time you beat 4 races, then you get another set of 4 more races! The best part of Lego Racers is that you can build your own car! Or, if you arnt so great at building, you can choose Quick Build, that makes a car for you. There are also testing tracks, so you can try out your car. There is also a Verses Mode that lets you race against your friends. So if your a lego fan, GET THIS!!!

I think that this game is the best.I like it how you can make your own car and driver. The only reson I gave it 4 stars is because I do not like the graphics. But I hope you get it.

lego racers is a great game. I just can't wait to build a car. I get all differnt kinds of block to do all differnt kind of things. lego racers should be racing game of the year.I like lego racers. I hope when you get lego racers you like it. It is not an easy game. my favrite part is when you get three green blocks. Have fun with lego racers.
