Product Description

From the Manufacturer

It’s the 10th anniversary of Lego Star Wars™, and Imperial forces are invading the Rebels’ secret base on the ice planet Hoth. As Han Solo leaves for a mission on his Tauntaun, snowtroopers attack with their heavy repeating blaster. It’s up to the Rebel Alliance troopers to fight back with their missile-firing defense turret and trench with figure-flinging battle action.

Product Description

  • Awesome weapons and a Tauntaun!
  • Help the Rebels evacuate!
If you want to relive the assault on Hoth, this is a great set to add to your diorama! What a wonderful collection of characters! 155 pieces. Ages 7-12.

Very cute, new Star Wars Lego set. Easy to put together for your 6 year old with a nice amount of mini-figures.

PRO's-5 nice and very cool mini-figures (2 Hoth Troopers, 2 Snowtroopers, Hoth Han Solo) plus a great looking Taun Taun figure (so I guess you could say 6 figures). Cool looking Snowtrooper weapon and a rotating gun turret with a hidden door and top hatch to hold a figure. Also neat is behind the 'snow' wall the two Hoth Troopers stand on a tilting platform. When you push down on the center section you can snap the figures into the air simulating an expolsion.

CON's- The turret at times comes off too easily from the base but it's still very playable.

I recommend it for younger Star Wars Lego fans and for fans looking for some neat figures.

I LOVE this Lego toy. Although it is outstandingly fun, has the FIRST EVER Lego Tauntaun, and is my most enjoyable Lego set, It is VERY, VERY breakable. Good stuff: Tauntaun is almost as fun as the rest of the set, can blast shot Lego men into the air with the press of a Lego piece, and can sometimes shoot bullets up to 2 feet.(When I tried) Bad stuff: Tauntaun is hard to put together, big-time breakable, and there is 3 pieces on the bad guy machine gun that are just SO hard to put on and SO hard to keep on. Buuuut, overall, I would recommend it a ToPs Lego toy!!!!!

My 5 year old loves this! The set takes very little time to assemble. My son has now changed everything and added it to his other sets. Still, very good set for the price.

First-ever Lego Tauntaun. This is the main reason that I purchased this. The Tauntaun was a request from all Lego Star Wars enthusiasts. The other minifigures, especially Hoth Han Solo, are great as well.

It is a very easy build for those familiar with multi-directional Lego Builds, but if you kid is new to big-boy or big-girl Legos they may need some help following the directions.

This set mixed with the other Hoth Legos make a great battle scene.

This is one of those Lego sets that you buy to go along with the larger sets. In this case, the rest of the Hoth cave adventure. However, this guy is jam packed full of figures too! Those snow troppers just crack me up - I call them "little ghosties" because they look like they have ghosts for heads! Anyway, you get five figures in this set, including Han Solo, as well as a tauntaun! It goest together remarkably fast, but the thing stays together as if it was cemented. One of the best Star Wars sets we own too. I particularly like the gunner - the top looks like a satellite dish and you can put a snow tropper in there to try and blast Han Solo off his tauntaun. Great, great set, all the neighborhood boys love it. Highly, highly recommend!

I needed input from my son who's the real expert: "It's based on a Hoth battle with Han Solo and a brand new, Lego creature--a Tauntaun! (this is exciting news) This has a special part where the figure can go flying when you push down on what they're standing on."

The stars are from our young user-expert, but as a parent, I would rate the educational value as a 4. The number of hours he plays with the Star Wars Lego set is pretty amazing (TV or video games get ignored). He uses a lot of imagination and takes mini movies of his playtime with creations.

The best part of this scene is the cannon that swivels on the turret and the Tauntaun. Let's face it-Tauntauns do not grow on trees in the Lego world and are exclusive to this set. The fact that it also comes with two Snowtroopers, the Han Solo and two Rebels means 5 minifigs and said Tauntan for $40+ the other portions of the scene. A pretty good value. On it's own this scene can clearly shows a solid Hoth scene-but is by no means huge.

As part of a larger Hoth scene, this becomes essential. I have added it to the Limited Edition Echo Base 7879, Hoth Wampa Cave 8089, Hoth Rebel Base 7666 one additional Echo Base, two Motorized At-At's (10178), other dark gray and white misc pieces AND white dog toy stuffing for quite the display. All of you may not have these sets but feel free to copy! Looks amazing but takes up some space.

If you are in to Lego scenes from the original trilogy, this is a must.
