4.0 out of 5 stars NICE LANDSPEEDER!!!
Nice Landspeeder!
Luke's Landspeeder is a nice small size set that is a good build and great playability for kid's or the AFoL recreating the famous Jedi-Mind Trick on the Stormtroopers in Mos Eisley plus excellent mini-figs!

PRO's...

- Overall sleek, well designed speeder. Has the right feel, proportion and shape from the movie.

3.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON
I go to Amazon for EVERYTHING I need... except for Lego toys. Holy CRAP, what is with the markups on Lego (TM)(R)(C) on this site? it's like 40%-150%! The sellers here are BRAZEN.

DO NOT BUY, at least without looking at the actual list price.

That being said, don't want to be one of those douches who low rate a product because the seller is not...

4.0 out of 5 stars NICE LANDSPEEDER!!!, May 10, 2010
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

- Nice color scheme with tan and dark red accents throughout.
- Left engine detail 'exposed' like the one in the movie.
- Hidden trunk/compartment in rear. Lift the back engine to reveal a space for the lightsabers, etc.
- Brick built Sentry Droid has a nice simple/effective look and is attached to 2 clear cylinder pieces on a clear base simulating it's floating.

MINI-FIGS are just excellent. Luke with new 'wig' and brush-metal lightsaber handle. Obi-Wan as well has a brush metal lightsaber handle. Stormtrooper with laser pistol, black shoulder paltron also has a neat backpack with grey lightsaber handles as containters (use the extra black stud on top of one of the saber handles and the extra antennae from the Sentry Droid on the other handle to give it a better look and disquise the saber handles better). Great looking C-3PO and R2-D2 figures. Note on the box cover photo, they list the Sentry Droid with the other mini-figs but it's not a mini-fig but neat brick built droid.

CON's...

- Luke's hair seems a bit too long. Kinda' like the one from the Star Wars DK book exclusive.
- For some strange reason, Obi-Wan doesn't have a hood nor cape/cloak.
- Rear compartment too small for lightsabers. Need to take apart saber and handle to fit them properly.
- Bland looking cockpit.
- Sentry Droid NOT a mini-fig. A true min-fig must have a unique sculpt or print pattern.
- Another Stormtrooper mini-fig with orange shoulder paltron needed here.

Overall I recommend this set for the young Lego builder. It has neat figures and a wonderfully designed Luke's Landspeeder. Slight mod's here and there on the Landspeeders cockpit and perhaps add more room in the rear compartment can improve the kit but regardless, this a must get for any Star Wars fan and good selection of 5 min-figs! Get one now!

Fun toy and excellent collector's piece. I cannot say enough good things about Lego, Lego Star Wars, and Lego bricks in general. Their toys are pricey, but they are durable and will last forever. BUT...this toy costs $24.99 at lego dot com and $24.97 at walmart dot com. Amazon needs to do something about the price jacking going on at Christmas.

First the minifigures are cool and some are rare you don't usualy see a sandtrooper with backpack and a sentry droid in stores ecxept in this set. Not much features but even though there were 3 diffent versions of Luke's Landspeeder this ones the best. This is a Must-have set.

This Lego set is awesome. You have got to buy it. It stays together well and it's lots of fun. I think Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kanobi are cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars This IS the set you're looking for!, January 24, 2011
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: LEGO Star Wars Luke's Landspeeder (8092) (Toy)
One of the most classic ships in the Star Wars Universe, dating back to the first movie and toy line, is the Landspeeder Luke Skywalker used to get around Tatooine. It's also one of the better sets in the Lego Star Wars line. Lego's version of Luke's Landspeeder comes with five minifigures, including Luke Skywalker (in Tatooine outfit and with a blue lightsaber), Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi (with blue lightsaber), 3-3PO, R2-D2 (with a grey dome) and an Imperial Sandtrooper - everything you need to recreate the famous "these aren't the droids you're looking for" scene.

Complexity - The set includes 162 pieces, and is almost a minifigure set more than anything. The Landspeeder assembly was a bit too advanced for my son (who is 5), but he put the figures together while I assembled the ship. All told I think we spent 20 minutes putting it all together.

Playability - In my son's eyes, this set was worth the retail price just for the Obi-Wan figure. He has played with this set (and especially the figures that come with it) extensively, and it is already one of his favorite Lego Star Wars sets. It helps that the Landspeeder is very durable and holds up well during play.

This is a terrific Lego Star Wars set, and a great value for the money (assuming you get it at the suggested retail price). I'd call this a must-have set for any Lego Star Wars collector, and a great introduction to the line for Star Wars fans that are new to Lego.

These Legos are great! Fun and relatively easy to put together. My son was a little disappointed at the size of the item once it was built. The size of the box and the cost of the toy lead you to believe that the finished product would be bigger, but overall it's a great Lego toy for a Star Wars fan. Item was received quickly and in perfect condition by the seller.

I don't know why this product is selling for so much more on this site. You can buy this from Lego dot com or walmart dot com. I wound up buying mine from walmart dot com and getting free shipping with site to store paying Lego's price of just under $25. Walmart's site is some times out of stock on this item, but it was worth me checking now and then to save $12. If this set was not available anywhere else I would say $37 (current price here) isn't that bad either because if you just wanted the minifigures from this set you would probably spend just as much and have more hassle than just getting this set.

This set is cool has great minifigures the set is sturdy. My son is just under 4 years and it is still together. The set is kind of small, but I was able to modify it without adding any pieces to have 5 seats instead of 2, and my son loves it.

Go to lego dot com and get this exact item for twenty-five dollars or about thirty dollars with shipping. I don't know what this listing is all about, but it is three times the price that Lego charges from its own webstore. (Note that when this review was written the item listed here for seventy-five dollars.)

I am 66 years old. My Grandson is 8 years old. We have so much fun putting the Lego's together and playing Star Wars. I remember playing with my two sons, who are now 38 and 35 years old. Lego's are a great get together product. Thank You
