I must say I was intrigued, to some extent, by the look and appeal of this Lego set. After all, this is set to be the 'Ultimate Playset Lego', if you will. I mean, the super-expensive, super-exceptional Cloud City set was dubbed a playset, but really it wasn't anything more than a collage of Episode V movie scenes (that made it one of the greatest Lego sets ever made). This set is supposed to allow for two persons to battle as Obi-Wan and Anakin with the use of long rods that move to and fro. In that, you have one of the greatest conceived ideas in the entire Star Wars line. It's the execution of that idea that makes this set so disappointing. It has been noted that once you move Obi-Wan and Anakin off their pedestals, they tip over. After having this happen a couple of times I asked myself, "am I missing something?" So I took the two platforms apart and tried it again, thinking I'd missed a step or forget to click something into place. Not the case. Instead I just got more and more frustrated with it and finally gave up. But not before trying to incorporate some pieces from my own collection. But nothing worked and I eventually gave up completely. I thought, maybe, that the minifigs were supposed to stay on their bases. However, on the box they are shown moving and (seemingly) coasting through the air. Had it not been for this huge misstep, error or whatever you want to call it, this would've been a superb set. Instead, all it really has going for it is that it can complete your Episode III collection and is the only set to feature more than one light-up lightsaber. Playsets are no good for collectors anyway because they don't (normally) play with their Legos; they display them. As a displayer, it is decent because it takes up a lot of space (for 282 pieces) and has a number of neon bricks. Putting the set together was simple and lasted slightly over a half-hour. I'd say the durability of this playset is about a four. The base connects nicely, and, while the collapsing shafts fall over very easily, they are almost certainly supposed to. The fun level is about a two, because I just cannot see how two people could find themselves spending more than ten minutes with this set without getting annoyed. But if nothing else, buy this set to finalize your Lego Sith collection. And who knows... maybe me and everyone else here are in fact missing something when it comes to the building of the platforms. Hopefully the force is with you on this one.

As other Amazon reviewers have already pointed out, this LEGO set is more of a collector's item than a playset. The Ultimate Lightsaber Duel (LEGO 7257) is the only set which includes both Anakin and Obi-Wan with light up lightsabers. The background is interesting and includes some nice neon orange elements. If you are a LEGO Star Wars minifigure collector, you will very glad when you purchase this set.

My 10 yr old grandson was delighted with this set. Put it together by himself and enjoyed playing with it. Several days later, he was improvising and building different versions. A good toy.

Hello, first of all I am an Episode 1 collecter. This happens to be my first episode 3 set.It wasn`t so entertaining(or atleast what they suggest us to do). This set however has a features. Here are the minifigures:Obi-Wan Kenobi(jedi master,hood,light-up) Anakin Skywalker(jedi master,light-up) Here are the features: Battle(move around the handle and move platforms) Lightsaber light-up(press down head) Pros:Light-up minifigures Cons:Way to boring Overall:The minifigures outrank the whole set. Side Note:Read my episode 1 set reviews. They get better credit :D
