Huge, spectacular, and movie-accurate, the Millennium Falcon is the ultimate center piece of any Star Wars or Lego collection. When completed, this model is over 33-inches long, 22-inches wide, and eight-inches tall. Rotating top- and bottom-mounted quad-laser turrets, a radar dish that rotates and can be elevated, and a boarding ramp that can be extended are just some of the cool features included in this model. You can seat a crew of four mini-figures at the controls in the removable cockpit. And landing gear provides a stable base for model to stand on.
Building Your Own Millennium Falcon
With 5,196 Lego pieces, the Millennium Falcon took more than 50 hours to construct. Split between two adult builders and several days, these hours provided a fun time to chat and reminisce about favorite Star Wars moments. We imagine that having the original trilogy playing in the background might have motivated us to construct this starship even faster.
A huge percentage of the pieces come in shades of gray, and approaching construction requires a bit of organization and discipline. This means that building the Millennium Falcon is not a project for the faint of heart, but detailed, step-by-step instructions help ensure that construction is a relatively straightforward process, despite the complexity of the finished model. Once it's built, the Millennium Falcon is sure to inspire awe all around. Collector's will appreciate the display card that allows them to show off ship specs with the model.
What's in the Box
5,195 Lego pieces, instruction booklets, and a collector's display card.

I don't understand the other reviewers. They 'love' this set...but then only give it four stars? Very strange. Make no mistake, it is AWESOME. The box is huge, it has dozens of bags inside with thousands of parts and the bound instruction book itself weighs several pounds. It will take an average person 20 to 30 hours to put together. Probably much more if you are helping a child. Every section is painstakingly accurate and detailed. Once finished it is far too big and heavy to 'play' with, you simply have to admire it from many angles. Even from below it is ridiculously detailed. It is the centerpiece of my guest-room (after spending too long in the living-room, according to my wife) and every time I look at it I want to tear it down and start again, it was so much fun for me...maybe next time I have a week to kill? FIVE STARS!!!!!

I have been a Lego collector even since Lego came out with the Statue of Liberty (3450) with the limited green brinks. The Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon is one of the largest Lego sets out there today and I believe it is worth every penny spent! I just recently purchased this set thru Amazon.com on sale and the price has beaten most Amazon.com's completion, even Lego (MSRP $499.00 plus tax and free shipping). You may find a better prince somewhere else, as mentioned in other reviews, so shop around, but Amazon.com might be your best bet! There was another review below that stated that stated that they, an avid Lego collector myself, received the product slightly damaged. Well, right after I placed my order thru Amazon.com, I contacted their customer service team and asked if they could add some extra packaging material to protect the product. A representative replied back stating that there were no guarantees about how the product was going to be packaged, but forwarded the note to the warehouse. I received the product a few days after I order the Lego set and it was in a large Amazon.com box that was well packaged. The product arrived undamaged. Overall, Amazon.com took care of my collector's and has delivered the product in record time! Thank you Amazon.com!

Fun but time consuming,
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars

This toy was great fun, and it looks incredible done. The hours of work required are around 30 hours. This of course is after sorting all the pieces. The only down side to this set is that all the extra pieces they give you are of no importance to the construction, simply accent. This isn't good when you have a rotating joint or hinge that needs to be placed on an item to make it work. I highly recommend clearing a large clean area for construction and keeping younger kids and pets out of the vicinity, or face frustration of losing that one piece that makes all the difference.
