NOTE: The product description for this item says that it only has a 6 year warranty, but stamped right on the box it clearly says 10 year warranty.

I started juicing after seeing Joe Cross's movie "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead." It struck a chord with me, and I decided to take action.

Of course the first step is to get a good juicer!

The internet is loaded with reviews of juicers, so I'll try not to be too redundant. Like a lot of people, I did a fair amount of research before buying a juicer. If there's any one aspect of juicers that I think everyone can agree on, it's that there is no perfect juicer--they all have their trade-offs. The L'Equip XL is a good, solid, entry level juicer with a lot of nice features and a solid 10 year warranty for the $120 price tag.

Likes:

Nice wide chute takes larger pieces of fruits and veggies--saves time on prep work
Small footprint on countertop
Price--a lot of bang for the buck compared to others
Relatively easy to take down, clean, and reassemble

Dislikes:

Plastic notch inside chute (to align the pusher) is too big and things get stuck there a LOT and you have to fight it with the pusher to get things through
Half of the pulp winds up not in the pulp basket, but stuck to the underside of the pulp chute--I suspect that this is because the pulp is still pretty moist because this isn't the most efficient juicer.
Plastic arms to lock down chute/top seem flimsy
Pulp is pretty wet--juicer isn't very efficient in terms of juice extraction (see above)
Fairly loud
Foamy juice that separate
Mediocre at juicing leafy greens like kale, spinach, wheatgrass, etc.

I've been juicing 3-5 times per day for about a month now.

Works as advertized. The mouth is big enough to stick a whole apple through (still easier to cut in half) and it juices everything fast and easy. It is not overly loud and very easy to put together and break down for cleaning. Two recommendations; (as previously mentioned in another review line the catch bin with a plastic shopping bag to catch the pulp for easy cleanup and get a tooth brush to clean the screen.

Before purchasing our juicer, we were contemplating between the Breville or the L'Equip XL. I must say, I am so glad we went with the L'Equip. First off, we paid the expedited shipment and it came on time (within 3 days). The price was affordable and not overly priced like other juicers we have found. It's easy to disassemble and wash/rinse. This machine is not too loud. I would say the noise is tolerable. Overall, I love this juicer. It delivers!

This is my first juicer and I love it. The only thing I have noticed is it doesnt really juice the apple peels. It juices to the peel and then shoots it out. It yields a fair amount of juice from everything I have tried. The kale worked really well. I love it!

After our Breville died after a very short-life we were looking for a juicer with a decent warranty that wasn't expensive. This juicer comes with a surprisingly good 10-year warranty and the lower price was a major incentive for us to try it. I really wanted to like this, but here are the pros and cons of owning the L'Equip 306601 XL:

PROS: Juices fruits and veggies well. You can fit many large peices at once which saves a lot of prep-work having to cut small slices.

CONS: The "IL'EQUIPPED" (as we call it), does not come with a few items that other juicers do come with. 1) No juice catcher. 2) No brush. Appearently you are on your own to find a jar or container at the right height to catch/funnel the juice. Also, you are on your own to clean the mesh blade with whatever kitchen accessories you have. Those of you who have owned a centrifugal juicer know that cleaning the fine mesh is the most tedious part and nearly impossible to do a decent job without a bristled brush.

(I was willing to look past this part because we actually still have our old juice catcher and brush from the previous juicer that died, so it was easy for me to catch and clean - but won't be easy for you.)

All that aside, overall, the worst offense with the il-equip is that it hates shirts and will splatter at every opportunity you give it.

We actually discovered by chance that there are two holes in the juicer.

The first hole(1) is because the pulp catcher does not fit snug against the pulp ejection vent. (About a half-inch gap along the seam on one side.) It gets worse depending on what you are juicing or if the catcher gets blocked.

My husband and I use this juicer almost every day, and love it! We love the fact that all the pulp collects in one place, so we can just scoop it out and feed it to our dogs- who love it! Every time they hear the juicer turn on, they line up in the kitchen and wait for their treat. Nothing gets wasted with this juicer, it doesnt take up a whole lot of space, is easy to use, relatively quiet, and its pretty easy to clean. Would definitely recommend
