5.0 out of 5 stars Nutrimill Home Grain Mill March 14, 2011

I absolutely love this mill; it does precisely what it was designed to do, without insanely high noise levels, or dust clouds, from it's operation. Easy to use, easy to clean...my idea of product design & engineering! It's also lightweight, unlike the stone-grinders, and doesn't convert to manual operation, but that's ok; I don't have time to stand and grind our daily flour by hand, anyway:)

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product with a learning curve August 21, 2011

It's a great machine if you want to finely grind your wheat. It's about the sound of a vacuum cleaner or quieter so that's quite nice.

With that said... the cons: It's challenging in that there are 9 independent pieces to this machine. Multiple pieces require washing for appropriate sanitary conditions. The seal around the edge of the lid for the bucket that collects the flour sticks unless you wipe flour on it every time you use it. Because it is enclosed you have to keep opening the lid of the bucket to remove the flour (sticky pieces, lots of plastic that could potentially crack) if you want to grind a lot of wheat.

I'm not a huge fan of high maintenance machines but I love making fresh whole wheat bread so I'll keep using it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great machine! June 17, 2011

I've used it a few times so far and it works great! I've not ground grains before so it was pretty fun! I also had no idea how much wheat I would use once I bought this machine. Making whole wheat bread was a struggle but once I figured that out it was wonderful. I may buy a breadmaker just because I don't have the patience to mess with kneading, but my family loves the new bread! I recommend this machine, but you'll want to make a space for it because you'll use it more than you think! (I have added a new kitchen table to my attached family room for my new applicances including this machine and the Excalibur food dryer. I don't have enough counter space in my kitchen for these handy things!)

5.0 out of 5 stars One for us and another for a gift. October 4, 2012

This is the second Nutrimill we've purchased. Much quieter than our 20 year old magic mill, which finally started blowing flour dust all over. Our daughter in law is also into freshly ground grains, so we got together, pooled our money and bought one for her birthday.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Mill Ever for whole wheat flour January 7, 2013

We have been using mill that's over 30 years old and it ground very coarse flour that made bread that was like eating cardboard. This grinds whole wheat so fine that except for color, it feels like white flour. This is a great product. It's quiet and clean. I bought it because my son recommended it and he's been using it for years.
