This review is from: FloJet LF122202A Marine Automatic Demand Water Pump (1.1-GPM, 35-PSI, 12-Volt, 3.5-Amp) (Sports)
I bought this pump to use in my Volkswagen Westfalia pop top camper along with the Eccotemp tankless hot water on demand unit. The unit primes in record time and provides the necessary 35psi for the Eccotemp. The output is exactly as advertised. For the price it's a great valve. You do need to install an in-line switch for when the water supply runs dry or when traveling (not included). 20 PSI is maintained at all times. My biggest complaint with this unit is the noise. OH MY GOD! The thing sounds like a foghorn--horrible. How on earth such a little pump makes so much noise is beyond me. The pump really delivers the pressure and thus allows the rather temperamental Eccotemp to run properly. The unit is even louder if the volume is throttled, and don't know yet if it would blow a fuse if throttled too much. A 4amp in-line fuse (not provided) is also recommended. If it wasn't for the noise, I would say this pump is wonderful, thus the 4 instead of 5 star rating. Oh, the included specs say 1.9 amp in use; the 3.5 amp (advertised) is presumably for priming and such.

A nice little pump,

I bought this pump to replace the manual pump faucet in our pop-up camper, mainly for it's "on-demand" feature and its ability to self-prime. It works well for the price, though it is a little loud. It's not going to fill up a camper sink in world record time, but the flow is decent enough for filling the coffee pot, brushing teeth, rinsing cups, etc.
Installation was simple, both electrical and plumbing.

We purchased this to use in our camper. This unit works great. The pump seems very efficient. We used it dry camping for 10 days and we did not need to charge our battery during the trip. We used this unit with the Eccotemp tankless hot water tank and it provides just the right pressure. The pump is very quiet. The on-demand feature is worth the extra $$ compared to a standard pump.

We upgraded our camping gear instead of getting an rv. A shower was one of the items. This works great! Having a hot shower with good water pressure within your own campsite is the BOMB when camping!

I installed this pump in an old two fixture camp trailor(toilet and sink). The pump has worked great on two hunting trips so far and seemed like a good value at around 60$.

When I received the pump, I was unimpressed. It looked too small to do the job (run a instant shower heater). I thought I should give it a try since it was here and I would return it if it did not work. I hooked it up to my simple water system and it did the job perfectly. Better yet, due to its low draw I was able to use a smaller battery and make the whole kit more compact. It works great.

I bought this pump in April 2010 for my cabin. for running water for commode and showers. It was only used occasionally about 10 to 12 weekends ran fine. this July it quit. the bearing from the motor to the pump went bad . With only a 1 yr warranty. It is a cheap pump to me compared to Surflows pump of the same price. and you get a 2 yr warranty. would not recommend this pump to anyone.

When I first opened this I thought it was way too small to actually work well. How wrong I was! This thing works great. It's well buit, easy to hook up, and works way better than the old pump it is replacing. Other reviewers have commented on how loud it is, but I found it to be very quiet. (Especially in comparison to my old pump.) 1.1 GPM seems like plenty of GPM to me, and I'm actually able to run 2 faucets at once with reasonable performance.
All-in-all this is a very nice product at an excellent price. I highly recomend this.

I bought this to make a camp shower. I have a 20 gallon water tank hooked up to this with 1/2" hose with quick connects and I run this off my truck battery. It works great, I just added a 10 amp circuit breaker and a on/off switch and haven't had a problem. I mounted the motor in a wooden box I built with all the wiring and hose and it runs very quiet.
