I am a gamer, programmer and IT specialist who uses this display for my every day tasks. Gaming in UltraWide resolution is everything I thought it would be and more. Games like Titanfall, Diablo 3, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft and even the Evolve alpha are so much more immersive than on a standard 1080p monitor (with no ghosting or loss of frames). The resolution is perfect considering the monitor sits about 2-3 feet away from my face (I also chose the 29" over the 25" because the extra 4" makes a world of difference with an UltraWide Display.
The monitor itself is light weight and slim considering its size. The speakers on the monitor are standard and sound good but I always revert back to my stand alone PC sound system. This is a great monitor and I am very happy with my purchase. LG did a wonderful job on this product.
I'm taking one star because when I saw a video review, it included the USB 3.0 cable., but when i got mines the cable is no longer included and the back of the monitor is black instead of white. Different model? Don't know.
There are some reviews stating that theres a bleeding light from the edge. Mines don't have that issue. I guess that LG corrected it.
I definitely recommend this product for those who do graphic design, video editing and gaming.
21:9 is amazing with the resolution 2560x1080,
everything is perfect in this monitor, the color is great, gaming mode is amazing,
no dead pixel, no bleeding,
this is the best monitor I ever had, better than my old monitors( hp zr30w,Samsung (S27B970),dell 3008wfp,ASUS VG278HE ...)
i didn't noticed any input lag.
I think aspect ratio 21:9 will be the future for gaming (I wish).
good job LG.
and my advice for all pc gamer to try this amazing monitor from lg. 5ms response time very very enough for all the games, there is no ghosting with this monitor, input lag look like my hp zr30w,maybe the input lag about 12 to 15ms or even less.

The monitor is nice. I prefer IPS over TFT based screens and this one does a good job. Besides the debate over the bezel (what counts, what doesn't, etc), I have to say LG's... Read morePublished 22 months ago by Richard Schmitz

You can't use HDMI on Mac with this monitor, you need a DVI-D active converter (from thunderbolt) or a Displayport output.
HDMI is limited to only 1080p on Macs.
