I couldn't be happier with the new TV, which I bought 3 weeks ago. I was looking for a good value for my $$$. I looked at TV's at three different Best Buys and couldn't find much difference in picture quality. The same set would look good in one store, bad in another. Probably due to source video and settings. It came down to Panasonic and LG (comparable Sony too expensive, Samsung got to many bad reviews). LG has a swivel stand, Panasonic's is fixed. I liked this feature as the set will be in the corner of my living room. Thankfully my local Best Buy was sold out. When I got home Amazon had it at a better price so I took the plunge. I was nevous about buying a TV thru Amazon but the delivery truck showed up as scheduled and the guys set it up and took the box away. And I wanted to lug one home from Best Buy? I won't do that again.

I've had this tv for a month now. I bought it for my bedroom - thinking that a 32" would be a little too small. It's hooked up to my Dish network HD DVR box with an HDMI cable, and I think the picture is as good or better than my 1080p Samsung plasma 50 inch (PN50A650). I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again for my guest bedroom (and am planning to). No flaws as far as I can tell. I'm very pleased.

This was my family's first HD TV and we actually purchased it from Amazon.com last year for Christmas. First off, it is incredibly easy to use if it's your first HDTV, and will take no time at all to setup and enjoy. The TV itself is very attractive and even with a little boy running around, the screen doesn't seem to smudge at all. One definate benefit I enjoy is that unlike some other HDTV's I've seen, I'll use my parents 42" 1080p Sylvania as an example, changing channels is just as fast as on a regular tube TV, and regular channels definately look great. When we moved into our new house we updated to digital cable and got the HD package and I must say it looks AWESOME!!! Hooking up extra components(Reciever, DVD, Video Games) is easy and he TV makes it easy to switch between them simply by using the input button on the remote. The only gripe I have, and I read this when I bought it, is the sound. The volume varies by channel greatly and when watching a movie, it's almost a requirement to have a reciever and external speakers to really enjoy, but for watching regular TV, it's pretty good, HD channels do come in better soundwise. Overall it's a phenomenal TV and I think anyone buying this would enjoy it for many years, I know after our first year, with kids in the house, and a move to a new home, it still looks brand new!!

I've owned this TV for several months now, and I love it more each day. Picture is almost perfect. You will not notice a difference between this and 1080 unless you're using it as a computer monitor. Sound is just OK. The built-in picture wizard saves you at least $50 alone to tweak the color settings.

It's worth spending an extra $10 on an HDMI cable for both TV and DVD/Blu Ray, although component cables produce a nice picture as well. If this is your first HDTV, you want a newer DVD player with HDMI connections and HD upconversion...trust me. My last TV was 480P and DVD's looked better on it until I upgraded the player.

I also have an LG computer monitor that is as fantastic as this TV (for over a year now). Just buy it!

We've only had this TV about 1 month, but so far we love it! The TV arrived a day earlier than expected, was a breeze to hook up, and has a fabulous picture. We couldn't be more pleased.

This TV worked and looked great for the first year. Then, conveniently thirteen months after purchase (outside of 1-year warranty), the main board gets corrupted and we have problems getting video through HDMI. Customer service is a joke - I can either pay $50 to ship this thing to their Alabama repair center and who knows what parts and labor costs on top of that, or do what they tell me on the phone which is use the AV or component cables and live with lower quality picture instead of getting no picture via HDMI. How about this - I buy another product from another manufacturer which gives me HDMI video for more than a year!!

just got the TV in the other day. ordered it on Thanksgiving day when it was on sale for a VERY good price. much cheaper then at Bestbuy and even the listed price now. i first saw this TV in Bestbuy and compared to the other 37in 720p LCD TVs...it by far had the best color quality as well as sound. the clear voice feature (btw, its not on by default, you have to turn it on via the menu) is pretty neat and makes regular TV feel a little more cinematic. just picked up my HD cable box today and the HD picture and sound is AMAZING. also played with some of the menu customizable features for the picture quality and the image looks even better. i love all of the options LG gives with this TV. feels like i can get more for my money. btw, im upgrading from a 27in standard television in my bedroom. the screen is so much bigger. feels like a huge upgrade. oh yeah and video games look pretty sweet too :D

I've been looking for a replacement tv for my bedroom for some time now. I had a 32" tube tv in there and wanted something in similar size. Because LCD's are more widescreen and the 32" ones looked small I opted for a 37" LG. I only had 1 issue. It would not pull in the coax cable HD channels. After calling the 800 # and performing a reset on the system it then has worked fine since. Their support was friending and helpful. I still cannot believe how basic 480 channels appear on this tv. They are so sharp and crisp it puts my Westinghouse 1080p tv to shame in several aspects. I'll definitely buy another LG next time I need one. The HD channels are superb as well that I quit watchin my 42" in my family room and spend more time in my bedroom watching this tv.

Bought this TV on 08/27/09 for the bedroom. Picture quality is excellent using a HDMI cable. I hooked up the HDMI to a comcast dvr cable box and wow.....what a TV.
For the price, this one is hard to beat. I already had a 52in Samsung in the Living room (Great TV) and the only difference I can tell is the screen size is smaller.
Standard picture (Non HDTV) is good. HDTV picture is awesome. I am sure that you can spend hundreds more for 120hz and 1080p however, for the bedroom, this TV is an Excellent buy. The one thing about buying a HDTV is the screen size. Buy the largest screen size you can afford. The sound quality is ok, All of the HDTVs seem to have mediocre sound. You can always add a separate sound system for the total package. The setup of the LG 37LH20 is easy. The features are more then enough with two hdmi inputs. One for the Blueray and one for the cable.
To rap this up........5 star rating......If you can find a better TV for the price then buy it otherwise you won't regret this purchase.

I've had this TV since February and I really love it.

The sound is great, the picture is crisp and clear. It has many great features - my favorite is the energy selection settings. The max setting is so much easier on the eyes!

Bottom line: it was easy to set up, it's pretty, I never have glare problems with the gloss and so far I have not regretted this purchase.

*I have had ONE issue with this TV...I have a Wii. I have component cables because the picture is a million times better with them, but I've discovered via internet search that LG HDTVs have trouble playing virtual console games (and ONLY VC games) when the Wii is connected by component cables. No picture. No sound. It's utterly bizarre and probably has more to do with the Wii not being designed for HD, but the compatibility issues only seem to occur with the LGs...so consider yourself warned! I still love the TV, though. :)
