We purchased an LG47LV4400 late last year and it failed a week ago - a good, long life (sarcasm). According to the LG customer service folks and the repairman, LG has issued a technical service bulletin for the main board, apparently the problem with our TV, on many LG televisions. They are backed up servicing this problem and part deliveries are slow, therefore it will be more than three weeks between the time our television failed and when the repair will take place. We're fortunate that this problem occurred during the warranty period - but just barely.

Furthermore, the repairman neglected to order the board extending the repair time. LG's response provided no expedition of the repair for me, but the complaint they said they'll file against the repair tech may help you when your TV needs this repair (sarcasm).

I would not recommend purchasing an LG product. Their customer service is toothless and apparently not empowered to create the happy customers their mu-sac purports as a priority.

The TV was great right up until it died... long live the TV (sarcasm).

Great picture, ok sound, then it dies. LG service so far is impossible to deal with and is pretty poor. Called to get service, got the "our system is down" excuse, "but we will call you back within 15 minutes" yeah right, no call ever. Tried the on line chat a couple of days later, and got the line "we can't find a service tech in your area, I will have to send this to the locator dept" That will take 3-5 days. So far nothing. Pretty disapointed so far. Will update when I hear from LG.
