I just received my TV a few days ago and I must say that so far I am blown away. I ordered the TV from Amazon Thursday Night and I received it Tuesday around lunch time using the free shipping. Pilot brought over the TV- carried it up to my second floor apartment and then unboxed it for me so I could check to make sure the TV worked. This TV is a thing of beauty. The one piece of glass is impressive looking and the TV is extremely flat. The image quality on this TV is amazing. Images look 3-D and seem to pop off the TV. The black levels are great (the blacks seem to match the letterbox bars). The internet stuff (like youtube and yahoo) are ok- not sure if they are worth the extra money. I have not registered for Netflix yet so that feature maybe worth it. You will not be dissapointed by this TV. Defiantly the best deal for the money of a flat screen TV. Glare is not an issue on this TV once it is turned on. We had a mirror hanging on the wall behind our couch which did cause some glare during dark scenes. We took the mirror off the wall- problem solved! I will update this after I have used the TV some more.

UPDATE:
So after having this TV for 2 weeks- I gotta say I still love it. The picture quality is fantastic. I am also impressed with how cool this set run- it is not hot to the touch at all. Image retention was a bit of a problem with this TV when playing video games however it is lessoning as I break it in. I think it will be a non-issue in another week. It has not been an issue at all with anything I have watched on TV or in a movie- only with video games. I have activated NetFlix and I gotta say it is great. It is fast and within 20-30 seconds you can be watching a movie in HD quality. I have no regrets about this set!

After having this TV 4 months I am still enamored with it! It is fantastic! Image retention is not a problem at all with this TV after break in period. I can play any video game and not have a problem. Do not hesitate on this TV

There was a software update on the TV a few months ago that added VUDU, joing Netflix, so you now have two option for streaming movies on the TV now. I added a Netflix subscription about a month ago, and boy, what a world of convinience it is. You add a bunch of movies, concerts, TV shows etc, etc, etc to your Netflix account on your computer and all these show up as easily selectable shows on your TV. Having this feature built into the TV is the best thing since sliced bread. The picture quality is absolutely amazing.

I've had this TV for about two weeks now. The TV is heavy, and I wanted to mount it "flush" to the wall so I got the heavy-duty articulating Peerless IM760PU mount. This would allow me access to the back of the TV without having to lift it.

Now back to the TV. I LOVE IT. The picture quality is unmatched by anything I've seen. The factory settings do need to be adjusted, but the process is amazingly intuitive with this TV. Non HD shows are just OK, but gosh, get an HD show on this puppy, and you'll never leave home. As a matter of fact I had my buddy, who owns a Pioneer Elite Kuro over the other day, and he was blown away by the picture quality on this TV.

"NetCast, which is an internet media streaming system that is compatible with Netflix, YouTube, and Yahoo! Widgets" is great to have. I have watched YouTube videos and tried out Yahoo Widgets, but I still need to get a subscription to Netflix to get the full benefit of this feature.

I Have my newly purchased Denon Receiver AVR-2310CI and BluRay Player 2500BTCI sitting in boxes in my office while I await the AV furniture. Once these are set up and I get a chance to play a BluRay disc, I'll provide feedback.

I have been cautiously reviewing plasmas and LCD's for the past year or so. I wanted this to be a long-term purchase that I wouldn't regret in 6 months to a year. It seems the technology has been increasing as fast as the prices have been decreasing on these kinds of t.v.'s. My head started to spin and I figured I'd just hold steady for awhile. That was until Amazon had an offer of 1 year no interest and no payments on this t.v. I pulled the trigger after reading some very good reviews of this product. The only thing I became truly certain of was that I wanted it to have internet capability so that I could stream movies...this set has the Netflix "program" and I figured that was going to come in handy to have...or whatever new downloadable technology becomes available in the coming years. Glad I chose this!
I have had the set for about a week now. I'm still in my "break-in" period, so I have all the settings pretty low. However, I have sampled what the final settings will look like and I am more than thrilled with the picture quality and the functionality of the set. This is a HUGE t.v....and I mean HUGE!! It is a great looking set with one single pane of glass rather than a big outside bezel. The colors are true and rich, and I'm confident that they will only get better once it is broken in fully and I can turn on the full settings. It comes with a stand already installed, which works great. I may still buy the Sanus wall bracket, but it isn't totally necessary with this nice stand, either. The sound is actually very good. Pretty rich for just standard speakers...sounds very nice for regualar watching when I don't want to turn on the theater system. I haven't used the Netflix program YET, but I look forward to streaming a movie from their tens of thousands available in the coming years. This was a good purchase from my perspective, and to say I was over cautious would be an understatement. The 12 month "financing" and free delivery were icing on the cake. It has only been a week, but I expect to be continually thrilled with this for years to come.

We've had it for a couple of weeks and so far really like it. All of the TV's we've looked at have plus and minuses. This one was pretty much what we were looking for.
Plus - Nice picture; excellent view from any angle; lots of adjustments if you want. Access to low cost streaming movies, TV series, youTube, etc. is the wave of the future. easy access to your wifi network and internet. We use our existing Airport Extreme wifi with an Airport Express, hooked directly to the tv with an ethernet cable. Exciting new technology easily accessible to anyone with a wireless home network.
Minus - Not the great sound that our big projection TV had; glass like finish of screen reflects everything.
Get help hanging it on the wall!
And most important, Amazon.com and Pilot Freight Services made the transaction and delivery better than we have ever experienced with any local store! Would do it again!

I have to parrot the previous reviews. I ordered this tv on April 10 and have it up and running today, Great service and very fast delivery. On to the tv. The picture on the LG is fantastic. I replaced a dlp and even when that tv was brand new it came nowhere close to the bright, rich colors of the LG. No glare, very good blacks and an ease to hookup.

I have already tried the netcast feature and I have to say that it is great. I didn't want to run a cable to the back of my house to the router so I purchased a VuDu wireless kit. There is absolutely nothing to do but plug it in. Works like a charm.

I have nothing but raves for this television. You won't be disappointed, Also,kudos to Vann's, the store that supplied the television. Excellent transaction

ADDED May 8, 2010--Had a bump in the road. While watching the tv it suddenly turned off. When trying to turn back on it would immediately turn itself back off. In short, it turned out that the main board went out. LG responded right away and sent a serviceman out. He replaced the new board in a matter of minutes. He told me that this is the first time he has seen that in this model and that he has only had to service 3 other models like this one. That made me feel better.

I have to compliment LG for their very quick service. BTW, I still love this tv.

I have had my TV for only 3 days but so far I am very satisfied with the product. I have read some expert reviews that recommend waiting 300hrs before having it calibrated; however I think the picture is great even without the calibration. The standard definition of course wasn't as crisp so the next day I upgraded to a HD receiver for my cable and it looks wonderful. The sound it also great and it has been very easy to use and set up.

One of the features that attracted me to the TV was the availability of the internet (most especialy Netflix) on the TV. I am not quite so tech savy so I wasn't sure how to do this. The owners manual showed running a ethernet cable from your modem or wireless router to the LAN port on the TV. The problem for me was that both were across the house and I really didn't want to run a cable across the house to the TV. I tried to do some research on the internet to find out how to do this and most sites were showing connecting a computer or laptop via HDMI or other cable system however the great thing about this TV is that you shouldn't require a computer. Finaly I called my sister who always knows a lot more about anything technical and she told me there is a product called "Cisco Linksys PLTK300 Powerline Adapter" ($124 on Amazon; you will also need 2 ethernet cables). I just ordered it today so I can update how it works when I get the product. Apparently it comes with two devices and one you connect to your wireless router and then plug into the wall and the second one you plug into your TV and then plug into the wall and it sends the internet signal through your electrical outlet. I'm not sure if it is common knowledge that such a product exists but maybe there is somebody out there who knows as little as myself about this and hopefully this helps.

Update: Had the TV for about a month now and I am still very satisfied with my purchase. The internet is working on it and Netflix is great. Thanks J. Vallow for the comment; unfortunately it's too late for me to trade my powerline adapter but maybe somebody else will benefit from your advise. =)

I've had this HDTV for several months. Absolutely could not have been easier or more cost effective to complete this transaction with super quick delivery through Amazon. The HDTV is everything I had hoped for based on a wide array of research and comparable reviews I had done. This is not a lightweight set, but is easily moved in place by two people. The simplicity of its design is pure elegance and it has worked flawlessly since set up.

I have never owned an LG television before, and this is also my first Plasma TV. I can't say enough good about the product! The picture quality is so far and above that of my 42" Philips LCD that it is almost unbelivable. Even the sound quality is extremely good for a flat screen TV. The broadband feature is amazing...just select your movies, and within 10 seconds, you're watching! On a negative note, the shipper that Amazon uses for large items like this, CEVA Transportation, was 3 days late in delivering my TV. When I called CEVA to find out what was going on, I basically got an "I don't care" attitude from the person I spoke with and her supervisor. When you spend $2,000.00 on an item, you really expect it to be delivered ON TIME! Hey Amazon...do yourselves a favor and cancel your contract with CEVA. They make you look bad in situations like this. However, now that I have the TV, I'm VERY pleased. I'll let you know if I still like it this much in a few months.

Looked at Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp (LCD), and LG plasmas. The LG is the underdog among the brands I looked at. After spending time in a store making adjustments I couldn't beleive the LG's vibrant colors and deep blacks with excellant shadow detail. I was sold on this product's styling, price point, and great picture. I rushed home to the pc and purchased the LG60PS80 from trusty AMAZON. The TV was delivered in four days and it works and looks great. Thanks AMAZON!

Unit has been working for 45 days. It has the same beautiful clear picture as the one in the store costing $1k dollars more.
