Because they are lighter tinted. The lenses are perfectly shaped, not "wavy", not movie theater poor quality. They perform the same as the ones that come with the LG tv's(which are excellent too), just lighter tinted. I would advise everyone without prescription glasses even to get them. Go to Walmart & match them up with a normal- lens pair of glasses. The total price for both is less or equal than the full 3D glasses & far more custom for each individuals taste/size. They flip up & can remain on regular home prescription glasses all the time. Crystal clear 3D & lightly tinted enough to watch 2D without removing/flipping. Fits on thick as well as thin but not too thin frames. The clip is not in the line of site at all like some other clip-ons. Paid 11.54 & bought a 2nd backup pair after trying the 1st. AWESOME! Enjoy!

I have a new LG Infinia 55LW5600 55-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV, and absolutely love it. My only complaint is when wearing the glasses that came with the TV, I get some glare because of wearing both the 3d glasses, as well as my regular glasses. This product resolves that issues completely. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wears glasses.

BEWARE of Parts-Outlet, they sent these out in plastic bags and not with any pouch as advertised, very good price but that is for a reason, these must be knockoffs because the other LG AG-F220 glasses I had ordered from Amazon in the past came in a LG box, not a generic white box with glasses placed in a plastic bag, not the pouch that LG includes. I would stay away from this vendor all together, you may get what they advertise, you may not, very misleading advertising.

At home I have a 42" Vizio Theater 3D TV, which came with 2 pairs of passive 3D glasses. The TV works great and (if you find my review for the Vizio glasses) the glasses didn't really bother me at all. When I saw these clip-on glasses from LG though I had to get them right away. Although the Vizio glasses were nice, it still felt weird having to wear big glasses over my already big prescription glasses.

My only worry with the clip-on glasses before buying them was whether or not they'd fit with the Rx glasses I currently own. These are sort of "square" frames and I kind of felt like I was taking a risk in getting these. To my surprise and delight, the LG clip-ons fit perfectly. I was also concerned that the part that clips on to the Rx glasses would get in the way of the picture. Basically it's a little arm for each lens, that holds the clip-ons over your regular glasses. From the pictures on Amazon (and the few that I could actually find on Google images) you can't really tell how much of your view the clip-on glasses would obstruct.

Fortunately, they don't get in the way the movie picture at all. When wearing them, you can certainly see the clip-on arms on the inner periphery (or whatever that's called!) of your vision and see the arms. But viewing the movie with one eye open at a time to see, I could see the full movie image (in either eye) without the clip-on arm butting into the movie image.

The only thing to note is that these are fairly flimsy and might break easily if you're not careful--they don't have a frame around them, so the plastic would bend/snap fairly easily if you're not paying attention and leave them in a bad spot. Aside from that my only other complaint is that the clip-on mechanism is a bit silly looking, like something out of the 80s.

I bought these items for my husband. They worked excellent and came in as promised via mail. They are a great clip-on for my husband's glasses and he appreciates that clip up as well when you are not watching 3D type movies or shows. It's a great buy for anyone who wears glasses, strongly recommend it!

These glasses are the best. They clip on and have a pretty wide clip for alot of different glass thickness. They are so much better than wearing 3D glasses over your glasses. Nice job LG!They also flip up so you don't have to look thru them all the time, yet can flip down when ready for the movie.

I bought these for watching 3D movies in the theater, and they work great. They worked like a charm. I was surprised at the sturdy construction, and how well they clipped onto my glasses. Only downside was the nose piece sometimes was noticeable, but I didn't see it at all once the movie started and I focused on the screen.
