I purchased this dryer along with the matching washer model WM2010CW from Home Depot for around $600 each. After moving I needed a new washer and dryer and decided to go with a newer set to save on energy consumption. This dryer is easy to use, and it's energy rating was a lot better than my old one. It's quiet and will automatically stop when it senses your clothes are dry, so it saves even more energy as well. It has a lot of settings, but I generally use "normal" and unlike other appliances, it's easy to operate if you just need a simple setting! The dryer has exceeded my expectations, and along with the washer is the best set I have ever owned. They are both quiet, energy efficient, and look good as well.

This dryer worked fine. I sent it back because I was not happy with the matching washer.

My one complaint was that 4 out of 5 times the Bounce dryer sheet got caught and stuck just inside the door. I had seen such a complaint about some other dryer and could hardly imagine it but I got to experience it first hand. It made me worry that delicate clothing might also get caught. If you feel inside these new dryers you will feel a circle of felt or insulation or something inside all around where the door meets the drum.

My new dryer is the Amana 7200 and although you can feel the same rough edge, nothing has ever got stuck on it. Also I must say that the Amana blows the LG away on performance. I have never before experienced such short cycles and everything is dry and not even hot. I don't know how it does it. The Amana is being discontinued so run out and get it if you want it.

I have bought or used 5 different dryers in the last 5 years as well as several older dryers in years gone by. The LG is as good as any of the others but nothing exceptional.

First, this washer has been washing clothes as best as I could have hoped for. I have yet to run into a single problem with it. More importantly, I had the unfortunate luck of having to experience a basement flood - due to the fact that the City drainage system was clogged and water backed up into my basement. The water level rose to about 2 1/2 feet. My electric dryer (non-LG) died due to the flood. However, the LG washer continued to work without a problem. I simple cleaned off the dirt and it looked and worked like new!

This has been a wonderful dryer and is very fast. We've loved everything about it except that sometimes our kids will push the buttons on it without us knowing.

I've had this and the matching washer for 4 months now. They work great. The dryer is really fast and clothes come out perfectly dry. I usually just use the normal/sensor setting so I just need to hit 2 buttons to get it started. It's adjust the time on the display accordingly when it's on sensor dry. The child lock is handy if you aren't stacking them and the wrinkle care button keeps the machine from cooling completely so if you forget your laundry everything won't be a wrinkly mess.
I haven't found anything wrong with it yet. It's a great basic dryer!

If you want to dry permanent press clothes DON'T buy it. It has a setting for permament press, but that is only good if you won't be at the dryer when it finishes whatever cycle you set it at. I contacted LG by phone and email. The person I spoke to by phone suggested using the delicate cycle, but permanent press clothes still came out wringled. My last email to LG has been ignored. My scraped 23 year old G.E. had the setting and did a good job. In summary it's hard to beleive an appliance company makes a dryer without a permanent press setting, especially at that price. Unfortunately I was mislead by the sales person because she said the washer I got was a match for this dryer and now I'm stuck because LG has not been willing to help in any way. I guess this is a buyer beware situation. If I get any help with this matter I will come back and report it.

Was delivered damaged and drivers put it back on truck. Cannot contact anyone about when a replacement will be delivered. Our only recourse we have is sending an email which we got a response back that it takes 24 hours to investigate the matter and another 2 - 3 days to get a response back. Great!!!! Waited all this time for a dryer and who knows when another one will be delivered. Big mistake order on line.
