Find a different dryer,

We bought this washer and dryer combo right as our first child was born. Right from the start the dryer never dried our clothes. Unfortunately, we were so busy with the baby that we never had it looked at while it was under warranty. My husband and myself have both taken it apart in moments of frustration but still the problem persists. It takes at least two (sometimes more) 60 minute cycles on medium to get the clothes dry. However, we have never had the mold problems that I have heard others talk about. I would NOT recommend LG.

this machine does dry my clothes fine. the downside is that it seems a bit cheap in construction. overall, i regret buying it somewhat because i might like a stacked washer and the LG front-loading washers (which would stack the easiest) are reported to have mold problems (consumer reports and piles of online stories, including lawsuits) and i'm very allergic to mold. i would prefer a washer with exceptionally high water temperature (near boiling) and better drain design to ensure that mold can be better managed. unfortunately, i didn't really think all that through before i bought this dryer. oh well.
