how nitpicky are you?, February 2, 2009

The reason we shop around as smart consumers is universal. I have high expectations, so when the dryer filter starting falling apart after only two months of use on this dryer, I was very disappointed. I e-mailed LG and received a useless automated generic response. When I called, I was told they give no replacement parts free of charge after 30 days, regardless. I put up a stink, requested higher authority, and eventually was given an exemption to the SOP as a "courtesy." As far asking if I was to expect having to replace it every 8 weeks I was given no response, so we'll see.
I expected quality when I paid for quality, even on the small stuff.
