Compared it with all other portable DVDs, including SONY, Toshiba and Philips, I found this product is the best above all. The image is sharp and stable, far more better than others. The captions shown during the movie on the screen can be easily read. The colour is vivid.
Except this one, it is hard to find another one I can read the caption charactors. So other one I never consider.
I buy this for my son to study English so read the characters is important.

I've purchased a few of these things over the years including Kawasaki an Axion. I've got a five year old and a two year old. Both boys are hard on dvd players. This unit is by far the best. The picture quality is far superior and the speakers are the loudest I've heard at this price point.

It has a swivel that works flawlessly and a handy flip feature (inverts the picture) in case you decide to mount it upside down. The only small negative is the shiny black finish. While it looks great, it is always covered with my boys fingerprints. All things considered, I should have bought two...one for each car!

I picked this model so I can also play DVDs purchased in Europe. It works really well, the audio and video are very good. The battery life is sufficient to watch even a long movie.

Excellent Picture. Fair to Poor Sound. Good Battery Life. Works nice on the console of the car. Ability to turn the screen makes operating the player from the front seat easy. I recommend it if you are looking for a 7" DVD player.

Recvd on 4/09/08. Battery lasted 15 mins. LG sent replacement, new batt.
last for 45 Minutes. The picture quality is great. So if you got a elec.
outlet the cord will reach go for it.

This LG dvd player run dvds without problem. but the resolution screen is
little low.
Cons.: The usb port only recognize .jpg and music. The unit doesn't work with divx and other video format.

Pros.: I like the battery support, its portability and performance.

I bought this as a gift for my husband, but ended up returning it. He says the volume doesn't go high enough with earphones (he used it for watching movies on the plane and really had to strain to hear the sound). His earphones work fine with everything else. Oh well, glad Amazon has a great return policy!

I love the featues - FF/REV (not scene by scene advances only), easy-to-use remote, flip/twist screen, dual headphone jack. Picture is very clear and screen does not scratch when properly cleaned. Sound quality is good but upper volume limit is a bit lacking (noticable only in the car). Good product at a good price (purchased in May-08 for $109).

This is my first portable DVD player-- I have resisted this particular gadget for a while now, but a really good deal at Amazon pushed me over the edge. I am VERY suprised and pleased with the picture quality as well as extra features mentioned by other reviewers here. The sound quality is fine, to me, and a headset would cover situations where external noise is a problem. This is a neat little gadget which I am sure I will enjoy for a while to come. Can't imagine getting a whole lot more for more $$$$.

At first the unit seemed fine even if the audio is pretty quiet unless its right in your lap. However the battery has lost power in just a couple months and if the cord comes undone for even two minutes it tells me to check the battery. Basically its useful only when it can be plugged in. I'm not sure the audio is loud enough even for two people to share in the backseat of the car.
