I had 3 24" LG Flatron displays before this that I really liked but they weren't IPS and the color shifting was a bit annoying.

I then tried the ASUS VS239H IPS displays before finally settling on these 23" LG displays. The only reason I didn't go with the ASUS was because the bezels were just too thick. They are a great looking monitor, but the LG is down right sexy. When off, the LG displays appear to have an edge to edge screen and are much slimmer than the ASUS (because the power brick is external). Of course when powered on, the image doesn't go to the very edge of the bezel, but it's still not as wide as the ASUS. The displays have a red power indicatory underneath the logo and it's not super bright like many other monitors, it has a nice looking gradient effect from the middle outwards.

You'll also notice the nice brushed effect on the bottom face that looks great. These also have the touch sensitive controls.

If you're looking for a high performance display for the money that is also IPS this IS the monitor to get. Once you take this out of the box you will notice how good looking it is.

All in all I think LG did a fantastic job on these. They are new and if you're wondering if you should get one because lack of reviews I say do it.

I purchased mine at Best Buy because they are $209 each, at Newegg they are $209, at Amazon they are ~$240...

As a digital imaging technologist and photographer (check my profile) I needed to replace my Dell 2209WA bought off Amazon which developed bothersome screen non-uniformity and other artifacts a year after the 3 year warranty expired. It appears in my case sub $400 LCD's don't last very long without developing some kind of screen problems.

Decided no more buying from third party display manufacturers especially online and went with LG brand, the largest manufacturer of IPS panels, and bought the LG 27ea63v-p at my local Best Buy for $330.

It's color perfect out of the box as IT IS truly calibrated by a high end Minolta CA 210 Display Color Analyzer. Checked it against my Xrite Colormunki Display colormeter calibration and profile and their's barely a change to the screen and the 3D color gamut model is the same as LG's factory profile included on the accompanying CD. (I posted a screenshot of the RGB LUTs and Colorsync Utility 3D color gamut model in Amazon customer images section)

Of special note:There's online rumors that quite a few sub-$400 LED panels are being sent to market with 6 bit A-FRC panels but this LG appears to include an 8 bit panel according to close scrutiny of 8 and 16 bit gradients I created in Photoshop. I even created a special color gradient blender using three layers set to various blend modes which really pushes multi-color blending to extreme and I still couldn't see any banding or dithering artifacts. It even passed Displaymate's visual tests. (check Amazon customer images I posted of this display model)

The only issues I have with the LG is the touch sensitive OSD buttons aren't marked clearly and seem to be overly sensitive.

I've had this monitor for around 6 months now. Bought it from Best Buy and it was great for the price. But then the plastic stand just snapped and the monitor fell onto the table. Nobody was even using the computer nothing shook the table it was on.. it just broke and fell. Weirdest thing ever. Looks like I'm still under warranty so they said they will send a replacement. Now I see from the reviews here that other people have had this same issue as well. Never expected this at all. Very disappointed as it's a good monitor otherwise but they put it on such a cheap stand.

I needed to replace my old flat screen monitor, saw a ad for this monitor, and thought to check it out. The price was decent, found it on sale. So I picked up 2 of them for editing pictures using Photoshop.

So far I love the LED feature, it's not and bright, and the screen is tac sharp. Very small bezel and a only about a 1" think make this a slim and very light monitor for 27".

Took only minutes to assemble, just add the base, screwed it down. and place the monitor on top. The weight of the monitor hold it in the base. One odd thing, I bought 2 of the monitors to be used together, side by side, but they seem to be about 1/4" different height. Not a big deal, but couldn't get them the same height.

One bit more serious issue, but not unexpected was that the black level were different on the two. So when you set them side by side, they, out of the box, had a different color tone to them. Even before turning on the PC you can tell the difference. After calibration the issue was solved, just don't assume, if you buy two, that they will come exactly the same.

Gorgeous monitors, love the nice LG red light at the bottom, very nice touch, you can adjust the light a bit in the menu. Talking about the menu; the buttons are on the bottom and are the touch type. You just have to touch the spot. The issue is that they are hard to use, because they are under the monitor, and in the dark, a pain to use. Again, not a huge deal, they couldn't put the buttons on the front because of the small bezel.

On the back you have HDMI and DVI ports, along with the the standard D-Sub monitor port. You also have power port and a plug for speakers or a headphone jack if you're using the HDMI also for sound.

Excellent monitor, very few issues, none very serious, highly recommended.
