lg-g2-verizon
Super-fast performance, a seamless user experience, and long-lasting battery.

The first smartphone in LG's premium "G" Series, the LG G2 for AT&T brings everything together in a device with comfortable, functional, convenient and beautiful design. Powered by Android 4.2.2 and a super-fast 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, the 4G LTE-enabled LG G2 allows you to run multiple apps at once, browse the Web, or enjoy video and games seamlessly. And the 5.2-inch Full HD display is the largest display designed for one-handed operation.

The LG G2 offers a unique, forward-thinking design that's actually a bit backwards by placing all the buttons on the rear of the device (instead of along the sides). Moving the main buttons to the back of the phone gives you more control since this is where your index fingers are naturally located -- you'll wonder why they haven't always been there. Researchers have also found that moving the buttons also results in fewer dropped phones when adjusting the volume while talking.

Capture sharp pictures and smooth videos with the G2's 13-megapixel rear camera, which features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology and Full HD 1080p video recording. The LG G2 comes with 32 GB of internal storage (22 GB of user available storage) and up to 17.9 hours of talk time.

Edge-to-Edge Display

Enjoy an immersive viewing experience that fits perfectly in your hand with G2's 5.2-inch Full HD in-plane switching (IPS) display. Its sharp, 423 pixels-per-inch resolution shows off every detail, while its IPS display gives you bright whites and rich colors with a 16:9 cinema-like presentation. In addition to the expansive viewing experience, LG's innovative Dual Routing technology reduced the phone's bezel to a mere 2.65mm on the side edge. For more efficient energy usage, the LG G2 employs Graphic RAM (GRAM) technology, which reduces the display’s energy use by up to 26 percent on a still frame and increases overall usage time on the device by approximately 10 percent.

Go Further Between Charges

The G2's step design 3,000 mAh battery gives you impressive power, without compromising style. With SiO+ technology (an enhanced version of the lithium-ion batteries), the G2's battery provides maximum storage capacity and long-lasting efficiency, with a thinner profile than traditional batteries. You'll get up to 17.9 of talk time and up to 696 hours (29 days) of standby time).

13-Megapixel Camera with Optical Image Stabilization

Capturing important moments in shaky conditions is a breeze with the rear camera's Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which maintains focus while you hold the camera for less blur in photos and less shaking in videos --even in low-light settings. The Multi-Point Autofocus improves focus and depth of field with 9 AF points, especially for images with multiple faces or moving objects, while the Super Resolution Zoom provides more detail and sharper zoom quality, helping maintain clarity with 8 times the normal digital zoom. With the Dual Recording/Dual Camera feature, you can activate the front and rear cameras simultaneously to put both you and your subject in the shot with picture-in-picture technology.

The 13-megapixel rear camera also captures video in Full HD 1080p resolution. The Audio Zoom feature helps to focus in on what you want to hear by using multiple stereo mics to amplify sound from a specified angle and de-emphasizing the surrounding noise for video recording and playback. The rear camera is complemented by a 2-megapixel front camera for video chats on the go.

Studio Quality Hi-Fi Sound

The powerful Snapdragon 800 processor also helps the G2 to boast impressive sound features such as Hi-Fi sound playback and HD multichannel audio for enhanced sound quality. The LG G2 features 24-bit/192 kHz Hi-Fi playback that reproduces studio-like quality sound, far superior to a CD.

LG Enhancements

QSlide Function. Multitask efficiently with the ability to open two additional windows over your main screen, and adjust their window size and transparency.

QuickMemo. Write or draw on any screen using just a finger, adding a personal touch to everything. And with On-Call Notes, jot down ideas during a call and access them later on from G2's call log entry.

QuickRemote. Turn your G2 into a programmable remote to control multiple compatible electronic devices such as TVs, cable set-top-boxes, audio systems, and even air conditioners.

Capture Plus. Save a full Web page rather than a limited screen capture.

Clip Tray. Lets you copy and store multiple items, such as a screen shot, to a PC-like clipboard for use in other applications.

Slide Aside. Move between up to three apps at once, by using three fingers to slide your current screen aside, and access another app.

Guest Mode. Customize the G2's experience with two modes -- one for yourself and one for a child or guest -- keeping your personal information and device settings safer. Access Guest Mode by unlocking the device with a separate lock screen pattern, letting you control which apps are available for a different user.

KnockON. A simple knocking gesture is all it takes to wake G2's display without picking it up or pressing the power key. G2 senses the gesture and turns the display on or off automatically.

AT&T's 4G Network

AT&T boasts the largest 4G mobile broadband network in the United States, covering more than 292 million people with a combination of two layers of 4G technology: the 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) network and an older technology called HSPA+ that delivers near-4G speeds. AT&T's 4G LTE network is currently live in 261 markets across the U.S. (as of May, 2013) with more markets continually being added. AT&T expects to cover 300 million people with its 4G LTE network by the end of 2014.

With 4G LTE technology, you'll get mobile Internet speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G, enabling you to upload a photo in 6 seconds, download a song in 4 seconds, and download HD movies in minutes and apps almost instantly. You can expect average download data rates of 13 megabits per second (Mbps) and 6 Mbps for uploads in real-world, loaded network environments.

If you are not in an area served by 4G LTE, you'll be able to connect to AT&T's HSPA+ enhanced backhaul network, which delivers speeds up to 4x faster than AT&T's HSPA 3G network. With the combination of 4G LTE and HSPA+, you'll enjoy higher data speed averages than other networks.

In areas where either AT&T's 3G or 4G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply amazing. Wow. September 30, 2013
Have you ever gotten a new phone and thought, "wow this phone makes my other phones seem so dated"? I can say that this is that phone, the LG G2 is AMAZING...funny thing is, my last two phones were the HTC One (AT&T) and the iPhone 5 (AT&T). I am that guy who buys the latest and greatest when I think it will make a difference in my life and I justify my phone purchases with the excuse that my phone is always on me(and I used to be an Apple fanboy and I have owned every iPhone). I use it for work, games, news, remote for my tv, sports, email, camera...Oh yeah, I use it to make phone calls too. Anyways, I haven't been in love with a phone like this since I went to the original iPhone. I hope you find my review helpful and beneficial to your purchase regardless if you buy one or not.

The Bad - Let's just get this out of the way.

The case is a glossy plastic. The phone is a finger print magnet. I am slightly self conscious when I let people see the G2- I feel like I have very dirty hands and I'm a chemist which means I am washing my hands regularly. The phone is a dirt and oil magnet.
The other downside is no expandable memory but I have a hard time using 32gb of memory anyways so Im not complaining but some of you out there might want more memory.

The GOOD - Get ready for a long list. I will do my best to put what is important first just in case I bore you and you want to move on.

Battery - The G2 has the longest battery life of any phone I've used. I regularly use my phone for a multitude of tasks. With my iPhone 5 and HTC One I usually could make it through the day without a recharge, but without a doubt I would give those phones a full charge when I slept. It has been 4 days since I have owned the G2 and have only charged it over night twice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exhaustive review of an amazing phone October 29, 2013
By bbilt
So a little background on me. I typically switch phones monthly, amongst all the high end smart phones. I like to try different ones, and have had every high end Samsung phone, GS2, GS3, GS4, Note 2, etc. and also the HTC one, LG Optimus G pro, Nexus 4 etc. also, all my house TVs are Samsung smart Tv's and I often like to project my phone videos and pics onto the 55" TV in the den. (much like Samsung phones)
I use a galaxy note 8.0 tablet for car and home etc.
I typically switch phones b/c I don't believe there was one phone that had exactly what I want...although each had "some" good stuff to add.

Now, I believe that a phone is a computer..with phone abilities. I'm not alone in this. I'm NOT the guy who says all phones nowadays work fine, and there is no need for improvement or speed increases. I run 2 companies, have a child, and have a hobby competing in dance events on weekends. I often use my camera for video, pics, and watch videos on my phone. I am not a gamer kid. I rely on my phone to be fast, effective, and the software should make it easy for me to operate a business and be dependable with the ability to jot things down quickly, send emails and share stuff often. And I should be able to communicate...AND NOT RUN OUT OF BATTERY too soon.

So, here goes my take on the G2. (I'm on Tmobile)
I have used the G2 for about 4 weeks now. I try out almost every feature and see if it's useful for my purposes. I consider it a better phone than the Galaxy S4, and by preference better than the HTC One. I do consider the HTC one to be an amazing phone of all my choices. Great job HTC.

Screen:
The screen size is huge relative to the size of the phone itself. I think all phones should be this way.

5.0 out of 5 stars The search for the perfect smartphone ends here September 20, 2013
Wow is the one word I would use to describe this phone. I love it and I think I can finally stop buying and trading phones in the search for the perfect phone. Over the last 18 months I have had 12 phones ranging from the Galaxy S3,S4, Note, Note 2 ,HTC One, LG Optimus G Pro. LG optimus G, Nexus 4, Motorola X and a few more. All have been good phones but each and every one of them had something that turned me off about them. The Note 2 was my favorite out of the bunch but the phone was to big sometimes (at the gym most notably).
Well the other day I decided to go to At&t and use my upgrade on the Lg g2. Now keep in mind I treat my upgrades as gold and did a TON of research on phones. Ultimately I had it narrowed down to this or the Note 3.
So I pull the trigger on this bad boy and I could not be happier with my decision. For starters the battery life on this thing is an absolute monster. (Yes better than the note 2). This feature is the most important feature for me. 2nd the screen is the perfect size. Someone said it best.... A phablet in a smartphones body. This is a perfect description for this phone. The screen size is right on the money and the display is top notch.
The camera is also very good and allows me to take very clear and clean shots. It even takes fairly decent shots of a moving image. The HTC one still has this one beat on that matter but the battery life on that phone was a joke.
The processer is zippy and can handle anything you throw at it. All of my screens are super smooth and there is no lag at all. This processer also handles the LG UI whit out a hitch. Speaking of the UI it is similar to Samsung's touchwiz but offers more personalization which I love. It even comes with the Vienna choir as some of the sounds.

Does LG G2 have Notification LED?
Yes, and you can change the color for different notifications (or for different people). But a lot of the colors are very similar (regular default green, turquoise, and lime green are very similar; pink and red almost the same, etc).
