I have been drooling over this phone ever since I first saw the teasers online last year prior to it's release. I finally, got around to ordering this last Christmas and I have to say that I'm quite pleased with it.

This replaced my blue Sony Ericsson Z610i which also had a nice and shiny surface. All in all, it's a great phone--looks great, user friendly, and has the basic fun things you would expect in a phone: great camera for stills and video (of course for serious picture-taking I use my Canon digicam), mp3 player, games, etc. I really liked the brightness and crispness of the screen as well and let's be honest--the phone looks really HOT.

Of course, it's not perfect--here are some irritations I have with the phone:

- fingerprinting on the screen. I know I should have expected this after owning the Z610i, but the weird thing was--before I removed the protective plastic from the screen I tested it first to check if it was going to leave fingerprints, it didn't. So I removed the film. But a few days after, the fingerprinting started. Weird, I know.

- No option for creating playlists in the mp3 player--it plays all the music files stored in the phone and memory card--and I mean ALL. Not to be too picky or anything but I really have no desire to listen to the default tones on the phone...(yes, I can just delete them but still...)and sometimes I would like to listen to certain songs without having to wait for the other 300+ other songs to finish first--you can skip to the next tracks but it's tedious.

- Only one port for the charger, headset, and usb cable. My first concern is that it might get damaged from over-use and from all the insertion and removal. The second thing is that I can't charge my phone while using the headset or usb cable which was something I am sued to doing with my Z610i.

All in all, it's a great little phone that has nice little features and makes you look good to boot.

I think that speaks for itself

The phone is really nice but I was surprised that it didn't come with the usb cord. I wish I'd known that so I couldve ordered one with the phone and not paid another shipping charge after the fact. Also it's impossible to see the screen while outdoors. Other than that it's great.

I purchased via ATT contract a LG Shine and find it impossible to use when in car in daylight condition or walking the dog outside and trying to review my addressee screens to make a call, virtually impossible to see. I have set the brightness setting from low to high and it makes no difference. Very diappointed.

THIS IS A GREAT PHONE . IM VERY PLEASED TO HAVE BOUGHT THIS PHONE AS MY FIRST SLIDER. VERY SHINY AND COOL. LG NEEDS TO WORK ON THE "MIRROR" SOME MORE. THE VOLUME ISNT ALL THAT BAD AND YES YOU WILL HAVE A PRETTY HARD TIME SEEING ANYTHING WHEN YOU ARE OUTSIDE. BUT OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT PHONE.

This phone is not even for Americans, the instructions were writin in about 20 different languages...none of which were English. It never gets above 2 bars on the signal because the frequency that is uses is popular overseas & not in America. I can download ringtones...I had to setup a bunch of crazy server names just to send text messages & get on the internet......very unhappy with this purchase. O & it said that it came with XM capability...that's funny, I can find it ANYWHERE on this phone....The charger is a peice of crap that you have to prop up @ a certain angle for it to work. It didnt come with software or a usb cable, which would have been nice to know, I had to order one & accru more shipping cost! WTF

I've had this phone for a long time maybe about 1-3 years and the phone stood up well. The shiny glass is still shiny and the outside is still in great shape except a few scratches from normal wear and tear.

My only problem with this phone is that the antenna or something seems to be broken, because I would have family members tell me that they tried to call me, but keep getting sent straight to voice mail. And my phone during the time was on and fully charged. It would start with just one or two calls not going through, then it would get to no calls going through for hours at a time. And it was at a point where it was no longer usable as a phone. And the phone itself was in such good shape I had a hard time buying a new one.

But a 2 year run, is still pretty good. Just keep in mind this phone might not last you forever.

WARNING! These are international phones therefore they may have non-English characters on the keys. My phone has Arabic characters. Not something I was expecting!

I use a phone just to talk to people and not for taking pictures or music. This phone did not live up to the basic expectation of having an audible sound and if you try using the speaker it gets even worst.

I would NOT recommend this phone. I'm not a technologically slow person, but it took me forever to figure out the little scrolly bar, and I still try to avoid using it. Plus, good luck texting!! The numbers are so tiny and flat that you ALWAYS hit the wrong number when trying to text. This phone is pretty and the sound quality is great, but the details drive me absolutely insane and it's going to be A LONG TWO YEARS till I can get a new phone!
