I was looking for a vacuum to replace my 20 year old Rainbow. I have very little carpet in my house but I do have alot of tile and laminate flooring. This vacuum does great on them! This is a huge plus for me. It also works on carpet. It is light weight, beautiful and makes very little noise! My dog couldn't believe it! Has great attachments and is very easy to use. It is BAGLESS and a snap to empty & clean. Stores nicely too! LOVE IT!!

I like this vacumn for the most part. I don't like that the cord is so short or that the attachments do not ride on the canister. I love the telescoping wand. The suction works great on all the dirt, leaves and pet hair. It is light and easy to move around. I don't see much difference in the different settings for the suction. Not a big deal since I only have hard floors, no carpet. The carpet/floor nozzle is a little tall to get under some furniture and seems flimsey. Mostly I am satisfied and this machine does what it is supposed to.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my wife, who needed a new vacuum cleaner after her 25+ year old Electrolux canister vacuum cleaner finally gave up the ghost. As always, I researched Consumer Reports, Amazon and other sites' reviewer feedback before making my decision. As it turned out, the LG Kompressor was rated highest in its price range, which I felt was very reasonable at $233. According to my wife, it cleans very well, is easy to handle, and now she no longer needs to buy, install, or remove those messy bags. The Kompressor is very compact, and to be honest, I think it looks really cool in red! Nice job, LG, for making a great product at an affordable price. And thanks to Consumer Reports and Amazon, too, for making the decision and transaction a very easy one for us.
