This product is very useful if you want to record shows e.g., Direct TV thru their DVR or directly from their receivers. It bypass the copy protection from the source and can burn the DVD in different lengths. You can set it to burn for one hour which gives you a higher resolutions and can also be set to 2 hours, 4 hours or even 6 hours in one dvd disk. The only drawback of this product that I noticed is that, after burning the dvd disk and finalizing it, When you try to play it back, you will always see a screen with several lines of tab that you need to select the title that you've recorded before you can view the shows that you've copied. I wish that they should have taken this initial screen out so when we replay our recording from this machine, you do not see that screen prior to seeing the shows that was recorded.
