I bought this LG over the range microwave as well as other LG kitchen appliances in July 2008. It looks nice in my new kitchen but it quit working on March27, 2010.#5 on the Key pad not working, Lights on, it turns but doesn't heat up the food. The door is always hard to open and close, vibrate a lot when microwave is working, make a lot of noise too. The vent doesn't work well either, ended up oil was everywhere on my cabinet. I think it's just piece of junk. And it passed their one year warranty, of course LG won't replace one/repair for free. Maybe they just know their product can only last over a year. I won't recommend anyone buy it.

I bought this for my new kitchen renovation. I was getting rid of the huge vent above the stove and wanted a nice place for a microwave that would vent. You can use it to vent up and out, or it can recycle the air and let it flow back in the room. I'm using it for the latter. The fan is very loud, I find, but not so bad that I wouldn't use it. The microwave is nice and has a lot of nice features on it like quick start (also known as Add 30 Seconds). I would recommend it. You probably won't find a better one for a price like this.

My husband & I recently purchased this microwave and it is such an upgrade from our previous one! I don't want to go through all of the features, but for a microwave, it pretty much works like it is supposed to. It heats food...can't expect any more really. A couple of reviewers have mentioned the noisy fan, but to me, it's typical of an over the range microwave. I read a review, somewhere else I believe, and the commenter stated that you could barely hold a conversation while the fan was going. Not even true!

As good or better than i hoped! Lots of options, fan is great. It is noisier than my old one (as per other reviews) but really...it doesn't matter that much.

The Carousel turntable does not rotate after about 18 months of purchase. I had moved to a home that had new LG appliances. The dishwasher, gas stove, microwave (all from LG) have started giving problems in just a few months. I recommend not buying LG kitchen appliances that have moving parts.

There is nothing terribly fancy about this microwave, but we inherited one with our house a year ago and so far I have no complaints. Two features I do really like at seem non-traditional are both the 'soften' and 'melt' functions. For a household that rarely uses a microwave than for reheating coffee or warming up some leftovers, I do use these two features regularly to soften or melt butter for recipes I am making. Thumbs up for a good-looking, better-than-average micro!

Installed it in December 2009. Worked good until the day before Christmas (2011) when it blew a 20A circuit breaker while heating a bag of corn. Now the turn-table doesn't work nor will it heat anything. Everything else seems to work. I bought it to replace a table model (not LG) that I got in the early 1980's. I guess I will have to get that one back out as it still works. That first one was American made. This LG is made in China with Chinese parts. Wonder if that makes a difference? Of course its out of warranty.

ours is still working after a year but you got to be careful because sometimes the cooling fan dont run when the magnetron is turned on and it will just hum.

its loud as heck and the light bearly gives enough light for a nightlite. flimsy stainless steel front and the rack always sparks against the sidewall.
