I LOVE the look of my new fridge. It's unique. I love having 2 separate handles for each of the freezer compartments. Stores a ton more stuff than it looks. Keeps the food very cold. In fact, I had to dial down the cold air on several occasions when I first got the fridge, esp. in the winter.

The taste of the water from the water filtration system is not bad. BUT....the water dispenser totally sucks. I'm constantly spilling water because the spout is soooo close to the "water-push" button that a cup barely fits between the spout and the button. If you put the cup lower (below the "water-push" button, the water splashes out of the cup. The ice, esp. the crushed ice, always splash out of the cup. I'm constantly cleaning the fridge area because I'm constantly splashing water and/or ice. If the spout could have been placed an extra 1cm outward, it probably would have helped this problem greatly. Also, if the ice dispenser could dispense the ice more gently, it would also have helped

The day after we got it I complained to store that it was the loudest refrigerator I have encountered in the last 35 years. They swap it out for another one and it has the same problem. I cannot believe that people who gave it a high rating were not disturbed by the whining of the fan motor when the compressor is on, which is 70% of the time. Factory tech is coming out in couple of days and we will see. If he says that this is normal we will return the refrigerator. The sound can be heard from 35 feet away easily.

Bought this refrigerator 2 years ago from Home Depot. It has had a knocking noise in it from new, Had two techs out to check it out - found nothing - still knocks. Seals had to be replaced due to leaking. Doors get out of adjustment easily - constantly readjusting them. Vegetables freeze, ice cubes melt together. Insulation is poor in every compartment. Am ready to dump it off the end of the pickup at home depot and let them take it to the salvage yard. Paid $2800 for it at the time. You can have it for $800. Stainless Double door french bottom freezer model LMX25981ST. Check the website - plenty of problems with the knocking noise. Will never in my entire life buy another LG product.

This refrigerator has so much less room inside than my old side-by-side that I had to put my old refrigerator in the garage to hold those lesser used food items. I called the service number because there was ice forming outside the top drawer. The customer service representative said we weren't closing the drawer right and advised me to pull the drawer out and shut it firmly three times to realign it. Really? Now it forms ice on the other side. Also, the ice maker quit after seven months. However, the serviceman replaced the ice maker free. Thank goodness. I would not buy this refrigerator if I could shop all over again.
