LG LT600P (Part number 5231JA2006B)3-Pack Premium Ice and Water Filter is LG's newest filter. The LT600P Filter fits most LG Side-by-Side & Bottom-Freezer refrigerators, and all Kenmore "795" Series refrigerators - including Kenmore Trio (three-door or "French door") models with the water dispenser on the outside of the refrigerator door. It does not fit Kenmore Trio models with the water dispenser on the inside wall of the refrigerator. The LT600P improves the taste and odor of the water and removes the following impurities: 96.7% of Mercury, 99.31% of Lead, 95.9% of Atrazine, 96.3% of Benzene, 93.06% of 2,4-D, 99.09% of Lindane, 99.99% of Cysts, 99.3% of Turbidity, 99.9% of Particulates (Class I), 97.6% of Chlorine Taste & Odor. It does not remove fluoride. LG recommends that you replace your filter every 6 months.

I ordered the 5231JA2006B/LT600P LG Refrigerator Replacement Water Filter Cartridge
removes the following impurities from your drinking water:

99.35% of Lead at pH 6.5
99.31% of Lead at pH 8.5
91.20% of Mercury at pH 8.5
96.70% of Mercury at pH 6.5
96.30% of Benzene
99.99% of Cysts
95.90% of Atrazine
99.09% of Lindane
93.06% of 2,4-D
97.60% of Chlorine
99.30% of Turbidity
99.90% of Particulates (Class I)

HOWEVER, instead I received the 5231JA2006A LG Refrigerator Replacement Water Filter Cartridge
removes the following impurities from your drinking water:

97.4% of Chlorine
93.2% of Particulates (Class I)

You can pick up the "A" cartridges for about $30, and they only remove Chlorine and 93% particulates.

I was unable to return via the web, and now have to contact Customer Service.

This the second Amazon approved vendor who sent me the wrong or bogus item

I purchased the LG refrigerator replacement filter and the product review was for the 5231ja2006b but they shipped the A model. It would have been cheaper to buy the A model elsewhere. Don't believe they product description from this company.

""Also known as the 5231JA2006B"" is flat out wrong.

The 5231JA2006B is the replacement for the 5231JA2006A filter.

The 5231JA2006B has better particle filtration than the 5231JA2006A filter.

Shame on this vendor...
