The microwave isn't real space saving, though it's not amazingly big. But the advertisement as "space saving" surely isn't accurate. The microwave itself works very well, I haven't had a problem with it so far.

The display and the overall usability is also great on this. Setting the clock, quickly heating something and other features are easy and need no instruction whatsoever.

The microwave looks amazing. Stainless steel combined with a slick interface makes it look pretty great.

My only problem is the toaster. While it works fine with normal bread, it's limited size won't allow me to toast pita bread unless I cut it in half, or toast pizza, etc. Of course, you can't expect all that much, but my old microwave toaster combo had tray replacement for toasting, so you could toast large things. Anyway, it's a great combo at a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Cool!, June 16, 2005

It looks beautiful and it has a toaster built in! This little microwave gets more attention than any of my brand new stainless appliances in my recently remodeled kitchen.

At first I was hesitant about the lack of a touch keypad for entering cook times etc. But I can honestly say that I do not miss this feature. The "dial" on this unit replaces the standard touch pad found on most microwaves and is extremely effective and easy to use. Turn it fast for "minutes" and turn it slow for "seconds." It works much like the infamous click-wheel on iPod's.

Great form and function. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what we wanted, November 25, 2004
This review is from: LG LTM9000ST Combination Microwave and Toaster, Stainless steel
While neither small nor inexpensive, this appliance performs all the tasks we wanted in a very handsome package. Sensible and well marked controls means its instruction book is only 24 pages instead of the 150 pages we have come to expect from electornics. It toasts perfectly. It boils a cup of water, a standard microwave benchmark, in about 2 minutes. In short, you sacrifice nothing to get the single cabinet. I think you could buy two separate appiances for about the same amount, but it would take up a little more room and look much less attractive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Microwave is great, toaster is better!, October 10, 2005

This is by far the best toaster we've ever owned. It does not have the thin metal elements that glow red like a conventional, so I don't know how it works yet, but it gets the toast perfectly brown on each side. A fan comes on and stays on to cool it down during and for a brief period after operation. The bagels we toasted in it were just perfect!

The microwave is large enough inside for my purposes, which are usually just reheating foods and defrosting. I never use microwave popcorn so I can't say how well it does in that area, but the frozen burrito I cooked last night came out terrific.

Regarding the comment one reviewer said about it not being space saving, I think what the company is referring to is the fact that, while the unit itself might have somewhat of a large footprint, it eliminates the need to have a separate toaster. This does indeed save space, not to mention an electrical outlet. Overall, I'm very pleased with it, but haven't had it long enough to speak to its longevity. I can tell you that it's almost worth buying for the toaster alone!

Nice space saving design. Toaster toasts BETTER than any regular toaster I have owned recently. Looks smart, too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stylish but poor quality, June 15, 2009
This review is from: LG LTM9000ST Combination Microwave and Toaster, Stainless steel
I purchased this combination microwave and toaster oven for my office with high expectations two years ago. During this time, it worked extremely well, and had I written a review even two months ago, it would have been a five star review. About a month ago the control panel's buttons began to be difficult to operate. Now, the only buttons that operate are the one-minute express button (Ex on), the popcorn button, and the clock button. The toaster still works great. As many microwave oven reviewers have lamented recently, older high-end microwaves routinely lasted many years and now they don't. Having this one last only 2 years (with light use) is a great disappointment and I am now looking for both a new microwave and a toaster (given that we all have grown used to toasting our bagels!). Needless to say, I don't recommend this microwave unless you want to keep up with the latest appliances every year or so.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good, August 5, 2006
This review is from: LG LTM9000ST Combination Microwave and Toaster, Stainless steel
Contemporary, sharp design fits well with the other stainless steel kitchen items. Small size is a plus in our cottage size home. Toaster has slide out drawer for easy clean up. Microwave is easy to use...not necessary to pull out directions. Pops popcorn 'much' better than our previous model. General clean up is also easy. [review based on 6 month use]

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Space Saver but Questionable Overall, April 15, 2008

This review is from: LG LTM9000ST Combination Microwave and Toaster, Stainless steel
Summary:
If you are short on space, this may be an excellent option. I would definitely stay away if children will be (even on accident) using the device. Otherwise, I would reconsider due to the overall cosmetic quality and higher than average price tag.

Pros:
---Stainless Steel Look.
---Sleek Controls.
---Microwave functions well considering it is only a 900W model, heating very quickly unlike other low powered models. (Unsure as to why)
---Toasted objects are easy to remove as they slide out when you open the door. The crumb tray is also very easy to empty without creating a mess.
---Fan Operated Toaster helps to evenly cook objects.
---Child lock is complicated enough to keep most kids away.

Cons:
---Stainless surface shows all finger prints and can be difficult to clean.
---During and after toaster use, a fan equivalent to what you hear when you use a Microwave is heard. The fan continues to run several minutes after the toaster is done.
---The toaster door opens flat, exposing a very hot metal surface after use which can easily burn skin. CHILDREN should not be allowed to use this device from the standpoint you can easily burn yourself attempting to remove the toasted object if reaching from below.
---Side panel is a painted silver surface which feels and looks cheap, essentially voiding the whole reason you purchase a stainless steel product. If installing on a shelf, this is not a problem.
---Toaster Door has a knob which sticks out badly since the microwave door handle is recessed.
---Controls are difficult to visitors to learn how to use due to the placement of buttons and lack of a number pad.
---You cannot operate the toaster and microwave at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable and Efficient, November 25, 2008
This review is from: LG LTM9000ST Combination Microwave and Toaster, Stainless steel
I am currently on the look out for another one of this great appliances. I have had my LG for approximately 5-6 years and have had no problem with it. The toaster part is the best feature. Although it is NOT a toaster oven and cannot toast full size pita bread or slices of pizza, it can accommodate full size bagels, toast, corn/blueberry toasties, etc. And, there is no lugging out the big toaster or having it sit on your counter top. Please LG...don't stop making this great product!
