Phone Features
The LG LX370 has a 2-inch LCD screen with a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and 262K color depth. It sits above a chrome-accented circular navigation pad that's joined by send/end and soft navigation keys as well as a back button. The face slides smoothly upward to reveal a standard alpha-numeric keypad with flush buttons. The phone's memory can be expanded via optional microSD memory cards, up to 16 GB in size.

This phone features Sprint's One Click navigation interface, which places eight shortcut tiles along the bottom of the home screen. Instead of navigating through endless phone menus, you can put the things you use the most--features like call logs, texting, Web access and GPS navigation--right up front with instant information related to each feature. For example, when you scroll to text messaging, you'll see the number of new messages received and a single click takes take you to the newest messages. Here's how it works:

  • Add your favorite items to the carousel, which is a row of tiles along the bottom of your phone's home screen.
  • The carousel can hold up to 15 tiles, which you can add, remove and rearrange to suit your needs.
  • Highlight a tile to reveal its menu on your home screen.
  • Add up to 8 "bubbles"--at-a-glance items that display on your home screen, like the weather or your daily horoscope.
  • Browse and download new tiles from your phone's "Personalize Home Screen" tile. New tiles are available every two weeks.
  • Press your navigation left or right key to select a tile; up or down to select a bubble or menu item.
  • The "Home" tile always stays put, so you can easily get back to your default display.
Make Web browsing even faster with a dedicated Google Search bar that resides on your Web application page. You get quick access to news, local listings, maps, images, or whatever you're interested in. And because your most recent searched locations are stored, you'll find what you want even faster the next time you search.

hands-free communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone. This phone also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 2.1), and includes profiles for communication headset, hands-free car kits, and file transfer. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking--surf the Internet, send e-mail, and access files from a server (additional charges or subscription applicable).

Other features include:

  • 2-megapixel camera allows you to capture images for personal and business purposes and send them to friends and colleagues
  • SMS Voice and Text Messaging Enabled: Instantly send and receive SMS Text Messages across the room or across the country, anywhere in the Nationwide Sprint Network. Text messaging without typing! Send voice messages to any mobile phone or e-mail address. Just select a recipient, record a message and send.
  • Facebook Mobile: Hook up with Facebook right on your Sprint phone (standard data rates apply).
  • Social Zone: The Social Zone application is your gateway for keeping up with all your favorite social communities such as Photobucket, MySpace, and more. From the easy-to-use dashboard view, you can respond to friend requests, view and send messages, post comments and update your status or profiles, all from your phone. You can also use your phone's camera to take photos, then upload them straight to your networking sites without closing the application.
  • Built-in Productivity Tools: Access your scheduler, check your task list and more. Also includes a world clock, calculator, memo pad, and alarm clock.

3.0 out of 5 stars highs and lows, August 7, 2009
This review is from: LG LX370 Phone, Silver/Black (Sprint) (Wireless Phone)
Having the phone for over 2 weeks I have played around quite a bit and as I write this review I am left with a mixed review. (I upgraded from a Samsung m500, which I was fairly happy with, so that take that into account. Also, I was intentionally not looking for a smart phone so that probably needs to be factored in as well.)

Highs:

- brilliant, large screen
- sleek look, sturdy feel with a nice slide action
- I like the "one-click/tile" concept, I keep my tiles to a minimum but it is possible to add up to 14 (facebook tile is great as well as the yahoo and google tile with maps) but the real winner here is the messaging tile with super fast email (faster by far over checking mail over the web - configurable with yahoo, gmail, hotmail, aol, & outlook webmail for an additional fee)
- interface and menu is driven mainly by time-saving numbered menus (pick a menu option by pressing the assigned number instead of having to click up or down then pressing the OK button)
- picture quality is an upgrade over my old phone but like some reviews on other sites have said the camera is not great for low light picture taking, in proper lighting the pics are good, but certainly not anywhere near iphone quality
- Threaded texting in a nice bonus

Lows:

- takes too long to get to web bookmarks, from the main screen 4 clicks (3 to the bookmark list, then a long click for each bookmark on the list); once you are on the web then an additional 5 clicks (4 to the bookmark list, then a long click for each bookmark on the list)
- I am used to having a up/down rocker on the right side of the phone for screen scrolling with my thumb, this phone only has one rocker on the left side so that is still taking some time to get used to (if you are left handed this might be a good thing)
- back button should be bigger (after using for a while I wished they made this button wider and longer), maybe this was done for screen locking reasons when the phone is idle but whatever the reason the small button is a shortcoming
- some applications (facebook for one) do not have a comma included as a text option under the #1 key, this is a minor issue but annoying that this only happens in certain apps, perhaps a s/w update will fix this in the future
- not sure what tests were run to achieve the 6 hr battery rating, but on some days I would get down to one bar very quickly, I am sure the screen has alot to do with this but I am afraid to think how my battery will perform after 12 to 18 months of use

Overall I would say this is a solid, not exceptional, phone. Although it is an acceptable upgrade I might have to pawn off on the wife over time if I find a more complete package with less of the lows above while maintaining all of the highs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Like it, but wish the battery life was longer., November 13, 2009
By
Pam (Maple Grove, MN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: LG LX370 Phone, Silver/Black (Sprint) (Wireless Phone)
My company recently purchased several of these for employees. I've had it for about 2 weeks, and so far I like a great deal and have had no problems. The menus and features are great and easy to use. The only downside so far is the battery life, and my fellow coworkers have said the same. At first the battery would only last about a day, and I was using it probabably only 2 to 3 hours that day. The rest of the day was standby time only. Now that I've been pampering the battery for a couple of weeks by completely draining it, then charging for 8 hours, I'm up to 2 days of battery life.

3.0 out of 5 stars This page is wrong. Product IS AVAILABLE on Amazon!!!, September 20, 2011
This review is from: LG LX370 Phone, Silver/Black (Sprint) (Wireless Phone)
Check here for LIVE product: [...]

Somehow this product got listed twice. Check out the link above to find actual live sales of the LG LX370 (of which my wife was a proud owner for awhile). Or if you don't trust the link, just do another search for the LG LX370 on Amazon and make sure you continue to search past this listing.

Now, in terms of a review: decent phone, especially if you can grab it a good price. We got it because my wife had been toting around a five year old sony ericsson, and I wanted to introduce her to the 21st century. I can't say the LX370 quite did the trick, but it wasn't a bad phone by any means.

Form factor is nice. The phone is sturdy, and the chrome touches are well styled. The phone also offers some customizability, which I always find to be a plus.
