4.0 out of 5 stars Like it, but wish the battery life was longer.
My company recently purchased several of these for employees. I've had it for about 2 weeks, and so far I like a great deal and have had no problems. The menus and features are great and easy to use. The only downside so far is the battery life, and my fellow coworkers have said the same. At first the battery would only last about a day, and I was using it probabably...

3.0 out of 5 stars highs and lows
Having the phone for over 2 weeks I have played around quite a bit and as I write this review I am left with a mixed review. (I upgraded from a Samsung m500, which I was fairly happy with, so that take that into account. Also, I was intentionally not looking for a smart phone so that probably needs to be factored in as well.)

Highs:

3.0 out of 5 stars highs and lows, August 7, 2009
This review is from: LG LX370 Phone, Silver/Black (Sprint) (Wireless Phone)
Having the phone for over 2 weeks I have played around quite a bit and as I write this review I am left with a mixed review. (I upgraded from a Samsung m500, which I was fairly happy with, so that take that into account. Also, I was intentionally not looking for a smart phone so that probably needs to be factored in as well.)

Highs:

- brilliant, large screen

- sleek look, sturdy feel with a nice slide action

- I like the "one-click/tile" concept, I keep my tiles to a minimum but it is possible to add up to 14 (facebook tile is great as well as the yahoo and google tile with maps) but the real winner here is the messaging tile with super fast email (faster by far over checking mail over the web - configurable with yahoo, gmail, hotmail, aol, & outlook webmail for an additional fee)

- interface and menu is driven mainly by time-saving numbered menus (pick a menu option by pressing the assigned number instead of having to click up or down then pressing the OK button)

- picture quality is an upgrade over my old phone but like some reviews on other sites have said the camera is not great for low light picture taking, in proper lighting the pics are good, but certainly not anywhere near iphone quality

- Threaded texting in a nice bonus

Lows:

- takes too long to get to web bookmarks, from the main screen 4 clicks (3 to the bookmark list, then a long click for each bookmark on the list); once you are on the web then an additional 5 clicks (4 to the bookmark list, then a long click for each bookmark on the list)

- I am used to having a up/down rocker on the right side of the phone for screen scrolling with my thumb, this phone only has one rocker on the left side so that is still taking some time to get used to (if you are left handed this might be a good thing)

- back button should be bigger (after using for a while I wished they made this button wider and longer), maybe this was done for screen locking reasons when the phone is idle but whatever the reason the small button is a shortcoming

- some applications (facebook for one) do not have a comma included as a text option under the #1 key, this is a minor issue but annoying that this only happens in certain apps, perhaps a s/w update will fix this in the future

- not sure what tests were run to achieve the 6 hr battery rating, but on some days I would get down to one bar very quickly, I am sure the screen has alot to do with this but I am afraid to think how my battery will perform after 12 to 18 months of use

Overall I would say this is a solid, not exceptional, phone. Although it is an acceptable upgrade I might have to pawn off on the wife over time if I find a more complete package with less of the lows above while maintaining all of the highs.

My company recently purchased several of these for employees. I've had it for about 2 weeks, and so far I like a great deal and have had no problems. The menus and features are great and easy to use. The only downside so far is the battery life, and my fellow coworkers have said the same. At first the battery would only last about a day, and I was using it probabably only 2 to 3 hours that day. The rest of the day was standby time only. Now that I've been pampering the battery for a couple of weeks by completely draining it, then charging for 8 hours, I'm up to 2 days of battery life.

3.0 out of 5 stars This page is wrong. Product IS AVAILABLE on Amazon!!!, September 20, 2011

Check here for LIVE product: [...]

Somehow this product got listed twice. Check out the link above to find actual live sales of the LG LX370 (of which my wife was a proud owner for awhile). Or if you don't trust the link, just do another search for the LG LX370 on Amazon and make sure you continue to search past this listing.

Now, in terms of a review: decent phone, especially if you can grab it a good price. We got it because my wife had been toting around a five year old sony ericsson, and I wanted to introduce her to the 21st century. I can't say the LX370 quite did the trick, but it wasn't a bad phone by any means.

Form factor is nice. The phone is sturdy, and the chrome touches are well styled. The phone also offers some customizability, which I always find to be a plus.

1.0 out of 5 stars Phone shuts down when slider is closed, December 30, 2010
This review is from: LG LX370 Phone, Silver/Black (Sprint) (Wireless Phone)
We have been using this phone for a year now. We were tricked at first when we went to use this phone and it had shut itself off. So we figured it was because the battery was not full charge so the entire event was to save energy. Then we could not find any information about this odd and potentially un-safe feature.

Later on we discovered that having the slide open when making a call, such as to key in your voicemail password, and then closing the slide, causes the phone to shut down completely.

The warranty is over so we are stuck. We would have received the exact phone anyway.

Good Luck with this one !

5.0 out of 5 stars Review, December 26, 2009

I have been using this phone for a couple of months now and have to give it the highest rating. It is straight forward and easy to learn to navigate on, very user friendly and of excellent quality including the most important of all being sound. The voice announcing the incoming call numbers is nice when you are driving so you don't have to fumble with it or look away from the road to see who is calling. I will say that I do not use it for any texting or internet applications so I cannot comment on anything related to those features. Good job LG!
