Received charger in record time. It was inexpensive so not worth sending back, but this is not the charger for the LG Rumor. Definitly a waste of time and money.

Had the charger for less than a week and it just fell apart. It is true that you get what you pay for.

The price alone made me think that this particular charger was going to do what the previous one did that came with my LG Rumor - fall apart.
At first, I wasn't impressed: 1. it felt flimsy, and 2. it really looked like it was just snapped together. However, it has (so far) held it's own. The connector end got stepped on just last night, yet it did not break. The one from Sprint had just fallen apart inside my cell phone without rhyme or reason. It just came apart when I went to disconnect my cell from the charger. I was very happy that was not the case with this new charger.
I would recommend this charger for the price alone. It definitely is holding it's own so far; but even if it didn't, I could purchase 5 of these for the same price my one replacement from Sprint was going to be. So why the 3 stars? Well, although I am pleased with my purchase, I still am not so sure about the quality by the feel of it. I could not in good conscience give it 5 stars since I can't guarantee the durability/life of the product would be very long.
Update: April 11th, 2009. Well, the charger broke today. When I disconnected it from the phone, it once again left part of itself in the phone. Looking online, the LG Rumor has a charger that has a "protector." I would assume this means they know their chargers fall apart and thus offer one for $40 that is built more sturdily? Still, the price on this one balances out the poor quality and I'll likely order it again.

I don't know how they can sell this charger so cheap, but the three bucks it cost for shipping sure beats the forty dollars sprint wants to charge. The one they gave me with my phone broke the first trip I took it on, but this one I got on amazon has been working great!

this charger worked great for 6 months, can't beat the price, however just recently I went to remove it from the wall and half of it remained in the outlet. Had to turn off the electricity to remove the rest from wall. A little scary!

I bought this item a couple days ago after I dropped my LG Lotus in the sink doing dishes. I had gotten the LG Rumor from a friend and had to buy a charger so that I could get it working again so that I could activate it. I only paid 2.85 for it, so I'm not stark raving mad, but when it arrived only hours ago it didn't even fit in the charger hole, I had to force it. The blue light on the charger was indicating that it was functioning but it didn't even charge the phone, not at all. I'm not familiar with the LG Rumor model, but I would have assumed there would have been a light signaling a charge, and since there was none I figured the charger was crap. I let it sit a while, still nothing happened. When I went to take the charger out of the phone it crumbled into pieces. Flimsy product and judging by the weight of the charger head I doubt it's even a working charger. Just a warning for people. Not even worth 2 dollars.

I ordered this just to have a spare charger and it cost next to nothing so I'm not really upset. However, if you are thinking of purchasing this item please be aware that for this to work on my phone, I had to physically hold the charger into the jack on the phone for it to actually charge. The connection between the charger and the phone seems to be loose and won't stay in place unless you just stand there and hold it in place. My phone is a few years old and a little worse for wear so that might be an issue, but the charger that came with the phone still works fine. Just be aware that this particular product may not work like you want it to you and you may be better off getting one made by LG or trying to find a generic one like this in a reputable electronics store or at your local Sprint store (or whoever your provider is, although I think the Rumor is exclusive to Sprint).

I bought this charger for my 13 yr old to use for her cell.... which gets ALOT of use! I first bought a charger at Target for $14.00 which lasted 4 days! I ended up repackaging & returning, got a refund and I went to Best Buy spent $9.99 for a different model charger which lasted 1 week! UNBELIEVABLE but TRUE! I repackaged it and returned it for a full refund! Then I figured you can't go wrong with something that costs $0.01 what's there to loose! AND low and behold this is the best charger she's had! She's had it going on 2 months now, works without a glitch, she couldn't be happier... and she tells everyone where she got it so they can get one too.I highly recommend it as a back up charger. I should have gotten more than one just to have on hand! It's well worth it and more! So get it while they last cuz at this price they can't last forever!

I bought this charger, I'm sure like everyone else because the one provided by sprint broke and the price of a new one was ridiculous to say the least. I figured at $.99 you probably couldn't beat that. Well, so far, so good. Just got the charger and it's working fine. Even helped me discover how some of the sockets work in my new apartment. haha.I love the fact that the charger lights up to show you that it's working. It's a very helpful feature. At any rate, I am satisfied with the purchase. Let's see how long this one lasts... I'm hoping for a while.
