With being unhappy with the VZW phone holster for the vx8700, I was left to find an alternative that allows you to use the phone without taking it out of the clip. I found that alternative here and it has worked out very well for me. However, I do have a bad issue with continually breaking these products--on my third one in a year or so. No complaints with the product.

Overall, a horrible clip. I bought 2 holsters, and combined they lasted me a total of 5 weeks. I bought this clip to be used with an LG XV8700.

The Swivel on this holster does not lock easily, so it allows for many degrees or movement, and thus does not hold it's pisition well. The clip portion is not designed well, such that is is almost impoosible to actually clip around a belt. But the worst feature is how the holster actually holds the phone to itself. On one side it hooks around the phone & 'snaps' in between the battery/keypad portion and the flip display portion, and the other side clips into a tiny little notch in the phone's battery cover on the side. So everytime you wish to remove the phone from the holster, it is actually pulls the battery cover back until there is to much resistance & the the battery cover snaps back & the clip lets go.

The overall plastic of the holster appears pretty cheap. The first holster broke into a couple of pieces when the horrible belt clip didn't hold well, fell off my belt, hit the ground & broke into many pieces with the very first impact it took. The second holster stopped functioning when the little piece of plastic that locks into the battery cover notch broke off when I removed it from the clip.

Overall horrible product that was worth less than the low price they cost.
