This video will show you how easily scratched this monitor base is, as well as plastic on other areas of the monitor. I like the look of the monitor, but the base and sides scratch after the first cleaning, which is a major flaw, in my book. Otherwise, it's excellent.

The monitor is 16x9, which I enjoy, but it may not be as large as you expect because much of the measurement is from side-to-side. Compared to a 16x10 monitor in 23", this monitor will seem small (but wider). I've read on the net that 16x9 monitors may not be the best choice for gamers, depending on the games you like, so do your research.

There is one HDMI (sorry, I accidentally said HDMIs in the video review), one DVI and one VGA input. There are no speakers inside of this monitor. I've tried the DVI input, and it is far superior to the VGA input. Honestly, I wouldn't bother using the VGA input at all.

Other than how easily it scratches, and that it's a dust/hand/fingerprint magnet, I like this monitor. I removed 2 stars because a company like LG should know better than to sell a product that scratches and degrades so easily. Otherwise, gorgeous color, and is wide enough to put 2 word documents side-by-side. Great for school!

By the way, if you like the webcam at the top, it's a Microsoft VX-5000 lifecam. It looks great perched on this monitor, and provides and excellent quality image for the price.

Love how the buttons are touch sensitive, The 50k-1 ration is amazing, along with 2ms response time. The monitor is sleek and will go decor. The screen is very bright and has no bleeding of light on the edges. Was going get the 24 inch but the 23 inch was 80 dollars cheaper, I can't tell the difference. Definitely worth buying and a plus no dead pixels unlike our Sony 42 inch t.v. we bought a few months ago.

I was originally looking at the LG 24" one but the LG 23" has a better pricing and the difference in size is not noticeable.

Very easy setup but there's no HDMI cable included but I used one from the older machine.

So far no problems and no bad pixel. The LG monitor is beautiful and very clear. Using Windows Update on Vista, it pickups the LG monitor on the patches optional part.

Just took delivery of the W2353V-PF and had it configured with Vista in less than 10 minutes. I have two older (couple of years) 19" LG displays and they are still running perfect. Only reason for this purchase was to move into a widescreen type. My only gripe at the moment is that the base positions the screen tilted downward a bit and the stand is not adjustable. I will have to place something underneath the front of the base to "plum" the display. LG dropped the ball with the base, but the display is spot on. For spending less than two-hundred, I guess I really cannot complain too much.

The picture is amazing across DVI-D dual link input. I have not tried using this with VGA input. I watched Edward Scissorhands in 1080p HD the day I installed the monitor, and it was soooooo fine, even considering that the film grain was lower quality back when it was filmed (late 1980s - 1990). The digitization of the film was done justice with this magnificent monitor!!

Oh, PS: Runescape looks great on this monitor, too =)

the only flaw is that I tried to turn it on by pressing the red lit-up glass area, thinking that it was touch-sensitive, when it was the power-button symbol that was touch-sensitive, instead.

Beware, this comes with packing peanuts, so don't tear the outer shipping box up too fast, or you'll have a big box of "fun" all over the place. The product's box is inside that shipping box.

This monitor is about the largest I would want for a desktop. It is bright, clear and very easy to set-up.

Tweaking the settings is a bit more cumbersome and not very straightforward.

Overall, very clear picture, easy assembly, and wonderful for my needs of using it in my office.

I recommend using it with the 3M Monitor Stand to get the needed height

UPDATE (4/2011):
Still loving this monitor. As good as the day I purchased it. Works well with multiple inputs. Recently attached a VGA cable to a desktop and toggled back and forth effortlessly with my MacBook DVI input. I'm sure I could use other inputs at the same time with comparable ease.

It was a great purchase & I'm glad I bought it.

I purchased the W2353V LG 23" monitor yesterday and wanted to try it out on my WOW game? After 1 hour of gaming the monitor would turn off as if it was overheating? Took it back and got another, and after 8 hours of constant playing I had no more issues. Glad I stayed with this model in leiu of getting another brand. So far love this monitor and would recommend it for gaming!

Worked better than anticipated. I received the item and it was in perfect condition. I hooked it up with the necessary wires. My computer picked up the change immediately. I installed the CD that came with the monitor anyway to see if there was something missing. It has been a major improvement from the previous 19" that I did have and I am quite pleased with the improvement in clarity. I rarely play games however I do build graphics. As a final thought, when I added on the high definition cable, that really boosted the graphics to the picture quality on the monitor. I am quite pleased with it.

My fiance got it for me about 6 months ago and I've been loving it ever since. VGA input has my Windows Desktop and HDMI is hooked up to my PS3. With just a touch of a button I can switch between them. Graphics quality for my PS3 games is simply mind-blowing and Blu-ray movies look brilliant. If you are looking for a personal gaming monitor, you can't go wrong with this. It works with both PS3 and Xbox 360 (HDMI cable required).

Pros: The screen has great colors, great blacks, and a fast refresh rate for gaming. The monitor is stylish. In general, it looks very, very nice.

Cons: The touch controls are hit or miss, and it's hard to "push" the button sometimes. This isn't something I do often, so not a big deal. The stand is a bit flimsy and plastic, so make sure to have it on a sturdy surface. Doesn't tilt very much up or down, but should be enough for most desks. Sometimes doesn't come out of sleep mode when the computer turns it back on, but I'm not sure if this is my video card or the monitor - right now I solve it by turning the monitor off and back on.
