Ill give it 4 stars instead of 5 cause it took me a week of dealing with nvidia and lg customer service representatives and no one told me what i had to do to fix it.

Ok I had a HARD time trying to get this monitor to work, spent about 1 hour with nvidia support over the phone and 30 minutes with LG, finally I made it work by myself, so out of christmas spirit I will share what I did.

Nvidia 3D vision package states that you must use the cable included in their package. Ignore that, the only way this will work is if you use the white dual link dvi cable that came with the monitor, install that and everything will work.

The only downside is that, even if you have a PS3 plugged to the monitor, you wont be able to play in 3D from your PS3, 3D gaming is only possible with your PC.

Background:
Hardcore gamer, though not professional. System Specs: i7 950 / 5870 1GB Crossfire / 6GB RAM / Ausus Sabertooth x58 / Soundblaster Titanium X-fi / 1TB samsung F3 / 60GB Intel SSD / Razor BlackWidow Ultimate Keyboard / Razor Lachesis 4000DPI mouse. Previous Monitor: Dell 2407 WFP.

Summary:
This monitor is a must have for gamers. 120hz and 0 input lag are two key features that will dramatically improve your gaming experience and make you want to play your older games again. Haven't used 3D (not all that impressed with my friend's setup), but nice to know its there. Non-gamers need not apply. If you want 3D, get a 3D hdtv.

Main Review:
I've had my Dell 2407 WFP for almost 5 years now and it has served me well both personally and professionally, so much so that I never really was compelled to upgrade to a new monitor. Being an older gamer in my early thirties, I remember pc gaming when CRTs were the only displays available to consumers. I remember the days of playing Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 on my 15 inch monitor at high refresh rates and loving it. But of course I traded that for the larger screen sizes that LCDs provided.

When the 22 inch 120hz LCD panels came out I was intrigued with the high refresh rate and low input lag, but not willing to give up HD resolution and 2 inches. With the recent arrival of the 23 inchers like the Acer, Dell, and LG, that offered full HD resolution, plus the aforementioned I was really intrigued.

Note: this review is about the LG W2363D's normal 2D performance only--I never used this monitor in 3D mode. I was unsatisfied with its 2D performance and returned it.

I noticed that there was a high-contrast harshness around areas with abrupt color changes (e.g. black text on white background). Certain features were surrounded by a yellowish glow, and in a few cases were rendered in their inverse color (i.e. photo negative). I discovered that this was due to "pixel overdrive," or driving pixels at higher voltages to achieve faster switching times.
With photos and video, the effect was much less noticeable. If I were using this monitor only for 3D visualization or gaming, it would probably be okay.
I noticed that Acer's GD235 monitor allows the user to turn off the pixel overdrive and remove this artifact. If this LG monitor had the same feature, I would have kept it.

After doing tons of research on monitors, I finally settled on this LG as one of the best 120hz monitors out on the market. The fact that is was discontinued and available at a discount I thought was a plus. Unfortunately I think i understand why it was discontinued now... the pixel overdrive on this is very bothersome to me, most noticeable on anything with a white background (which is over half of windows and the internet, i really wish they had built in an option to turn it on and off. The colors also just look sort of washed out, even after calibration. But for gaming this thing is sweet! After 120hz I can never go back to 60hz! and this monitor has 0 input lag, which to be honest I didnt know I had any input lag before on my old screen, but after using this LG I definitely notice a considerable response time difference, even just moving the mouse around the screen in windows.

So for games 5 stars, but due to the pixel overdrive and bad colors when in windows 1 Star. So I gave it a balanced 3 stars. While I love it for gaming, I just do not think its suitable for any sort of regular use and will prolly go back to my tiny 17inch flat screen as my primary windows screen, just using the LG for when I game or watch movies...
