Pleased So Far,
By
This review is from: LG : WM2233HW 27 XL Front-Load Washer - White
Pros:
Efficient Aesthetics Good Cleaning Cons: Cycles are usually quite long Too short to hide water lines, drain, and electric cord Maintenance necessary to maintain proper function Just received this washer and compatible dryer and am really pleased with it so far. Overall, it looks really nice and fits into a pretty compact space. The washer uses an extremely small amount of HE detergent and uses very little water. The noise and overall vibration of these units is really low also. In the laundry room with the door shut, it is hard to know this unit is running unless standing directly outside of the door. One key thing I learned about this piece of equipment is that there are four plugs that screw into the back of this device. When it is delivered, the delivery guy will remove them and admonish you that if you move the unit again, you have to reinsert the plugs. Keep this in mind if you plan on moving your unit to a different location. As with all of the front load washers, regular maintenance is key to keeping it running smoothly and preventing mildew. I have found that wiping down the detergent tray and the inside of the unit with a paper towel after I am done using it helps to keep the excess water to a minimum. Also make sure to run it along the door seal as this area tends to retain water that can cause odors and potentially mold. Overall, this is a pretty affordable unit from LG that has a lot of features to make washing your cloths enjoyable.

Great Machine,
By Steve Dietrich (Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Monica CA, United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: LG : WM2233HW 27 XL Front-Load Washer - White
This is a great machine. Lots of flexibility . Rule 1 is RTFM (read the manual) . One of the reviewers notes that it has a bad smell. There's a self wash cycle for this. There are also a lot of other features in the manual. What I really like about the machine is that it does the job. Wash comes out clean and well rinsed (second rinse). One word of caution is that the fill cycle is constantly turning the water on and off. If your pipes are not property secured, undersized or the pressure is set high a "water hammer" and shaking pipes may occur. Reducing pressure or putting a hammer protector ( a vertical pipe section filled with air) should do the job. The reason for the multiple bursts of water is to pre-treat the laundry for maximum cleaning. The very pleasant two level done chime is a welcome relief from the cheap ring or silence of other washers. Highly recommended.

Horrible vibration problem,
This review is from: LG : WM2233HW 27 XL Front-Load Washer - White
I purchased this machine 2 months ago and have had a total of 6 service calls so far and am still arguing with LG about replacing the machine. Immediately after having this delivered, the machine made an awful vibrating sound which got progressively worse with each use. After 6 service calls (4 from an LG service repairman who simply tries to level the feet each time) the machine continues to have excessive vibrating to the point that it sounds like a helicopter is landing in my laundry room, even on the low spin speed and with the Spinsense mode engaged. The LG servicer informed me that these machines were ideally made to be placed on concrete slabs such as in a basement, not over a crawlspace or on a second floor. He also warned me that the pedestals contribute to the vibrating noise. Wish I'd known that before I spent the money. I give it 2 stars simply because all the cycle features and it's cleaning ability are great...just can't deal with the awful noise!
I have now spoken with several other people who have this machine and all have the same problem. Take this as a warning, BBB (Better Business Bureau) has lots of cases with LG with a BBB rating of C+.
